Hey all, Just wanted to give a shout out to the awesome devs for bringing back this awesome game to us.

I've been playing RoR for the last 2 weeks, having an absolute blast, trying a few chars and getting settled into the server. I've settled on the Witch Hunter class (after playing like 8 others) and I am just wrapping up tier 1.

I wanted to write this post though because of what I experienced last night...and I wanted to share it with all of you.

Last night was the most fun I've had in an MMO in years. This game (RoR) is such a hidden gem and does so many things right that so many MMOs get wrong nowadays. I experienced so much truly organic PvP last night, that had my heart pumping, my friends and I cheering over victories, and laughing over ridiculous things we experienced.

Firstly, I ran into a buddy that I played with on other characters, he was playing his rune priest, Shivaar. We queued for some scenarios and he was pocket healing me, just the usual ownage in scenarios, no big deal, but was still fun.

Next, we decided to do some t1 lairs, so we head over to dwarf and run into some other folks, and queue for SC while we wait for spawn. Still, no big deal, little did we know what was coming...

Finally, the boss spawns but we notice there are destro capping the BO, run roh...We quickly kill the boss, then head over to the tower BO in Ekrund.

As we are running to the door, we hear Orcish screams of "Incoming!" . We charge thru the door and up the stairs, I'm leading the charge and as I reach close to the top, I go incognito. I sneak past their frontline melee train and go straight for the 2 shammies in the back. These 2 guys did not know what hit them. Once the first 2 pesky goblins were dead, I move onto a squig herder and then went to finish the frontline with my team. We wiped them all out, and our team was untouched. This was a 6vs9 fight. Awesome.

Next, we wanted to go to the Elf t1 boss, so we head over to the blighted isle. Outside the lair, who do we find? The same group of dessies, but this time, spread much more out. We kill them 1 by 1 and demoralize them once again. Then, killed the boss, naturally.

Then we headed over to Nordland for that boss and killed him as well. The healer and dps's we had joined up with at the lair leave at this point. It's just the KOTBS, Silvie we had, Shivaar (rp) and myself (WH) at this point. We queue for some SC and kick some more ass. We ran into some devastating Shadow Warriors, Shake and Bake and invite them to our group. Now, we've got some serious deeps.

Queued for some sc's and did very well in all of those, but the best part was the RvR in nordland.

There was an absolutely massive zerg of dessie's camping the order war camp. They must have at least one full war band, maybe 2. Lots of zealots, shammies and DoKs healing, and some very tough tanks on their front line. There was absolutely nothing we could do from our war camp's entrance. No one could leave.

They had this level 17 black orc, Hooligan who was very tough. He was role playing very well though, walking back and forth in the front line taunting us to come after him. We were all cracking up. Between his cool looking gear and his role playing tactics, he looked like a boss of some sort that we needed to kill, it was honestly one of the coolest things Ive ever seen in an open world pvp situation.

We decided we needed a new strategy and needed to split them up. The 5 of us head over to the shrine and quickly cap. Their squishes slowly tricking them in, their front line still at our war camp. We killed several squishes, but were getting overwhelmed so we head back towards our base. Guess whose...walking...up the hill, Hooligan and his buddies. He is still taunting us in an orcish manner and its quite funny. He tells us he warned us and that we shouldn't have done that. Still beefy as hell, especially with all the healers, we couldn't hurt him.

Well, Bake or Shake, I forget who, goes behind him and knocks him into our base, the guards 1 shot him. Now's our chance. We storm through (with some pugs now too) and wipe out their entire war band. We had 5 in our group, maybe 5 pugs, they had over 30 people. (I know for sure because I Had 0/25 on my kill quest, and I quickly hit 25 and got kills after that). We wiped out their whole team, they were really pissed. We waited at shrine for them to come back, we were going to sneak behind them at fest, but they noticed us. We got a few kills,but they got us back this time.

We had another scenario pop, so we took that and won it real quick, naturally.

When we came back to Nordland though, we had much more order help. They were camping our front lines again, so we came from the shrine and hit them from behind and capped fest. The des were disorganized at that point and we took advantage. We were waiting for the 3 minute cap at fest, and I was heading back to town real quick to sell some stuff. As I head back to our WC, I notice their entire wb on the beach between fest and the order wc. Hooligan sees me and he says "Theres one! Get him!", I ran back to my team and the rest of the order at Fest and inform them that they are coming from behind. We absolutely destroyed them again. It wasn't even close this time and we didn't need the help of the guards to bring Hooligan down.

They had the numbers, the tanks, the healers, everything. We had the strategy, the skill, and the perseverance, and we won.

Then we queued up for some more sc, did the lairs again, and called it a night.

But honestly, it was the most fun I've had in an MMO in years so I just wanted to share that experience of organic PvP with all of you.

Shoutout to Shivaar/Enlightment, Silvie, Rheuse, Gwennypenny, Shake, Bake, & of course, Hooligan. You are damn funny dude.

Believe what you wish, but they were spread out, some down below on the beach, some on the hill, some at the front of the wc, some coming from shrine. They were disorganized and zerging, we were organized and focused. Once their tank fell, it was game over. The AAO was 400% I believe.
