4 easy steps to lose versus premades. Now 100% faster
This is part of the problem, not the solution.
Working together is the ONLY way to beat premades.
Of course, I'm not saying premades are evil either.
Making a premade is a better solution than complaining about losing to premades.

I have a question.

Do we do all this before or after we drink the Tequila?
Tequila consumption is authorized and encouraged at all phases of combat.

<snip>
Battlefield awareness: Keep your eyes on what is going on around you, pay attention to where you are and where you should be. Tanks need to be very wary of this. LOS blocking can get you killed. As can overextending.
Agreed, LOSing your heals is another self inflicted scenario issue.
Detaunt + Guard: this ties into battlefield awareness, knowing who to detaunt and when to detaunt will be helpful in winning. Often the healers will be too far away from the battle lines, and not using a detaunt on the right target will get you killed. Honestly the best thing a healer can learn to do is use their detaunt. Guard does not stack with Detaunt. so don't expect the tank to just guard you cause you can't be bothered to detaunt. Tanks should also use challange, this stacks with guard and detaunt and helps mitigate further damage. Doesn't blast it willy nilly, but don't forget to use it.
PVP tanking as it plays out in War is more extensive than in other games, thank you for adding this to the discussion.
Assist: It's not the tanks alone that need to use CC. RDPS have plenty of tools to assist each other, using KBs, KDs and other effects to keep the backline alive. Tanks be sure to float guard, and work with your MDPS. Don't put your guard on someone then run off, if you want to win, you need to focus fire and work together. Use the /assist macro or make one. You have 30seconds at the start of the match find a buddy and pair up.
Can you shift click a player to insert their name into the macro to make it more quickly?
Is there a good place to look up what your ranged KB, KD, Slow or whatever is?
I was given to understand Destro has none of these.
Stick together: Doesn't matter if you are king cheese of dairy island, sticking together is the best battle plan, if half your team is backing off, or running somewhere else, go with them. Goes with awareness...a WH getting some kills off stragglers might be good for him, but he isn't helping the group...and an over extending solo player will rarely make a worthwhile piece trade in this game atm.
I got nothing to add.
Be flexible: don't commit yourself to only one target, be opportunistic, go for whatever you have the best chance of killing, get the healers into a rez cycle, and push this advantage. Even premades have a hard time if you eliminate their carried pugs.
If there's no cannon-fodder, the premade will have to serve...

When you realise you are a pug just stop being a pug and get into a premade instead, best advice you will ever get to step up your game. ;)
Srsly you guys are missing a lot of fun.

Yep, there's nothing like curbstomping pugs who lack the initiative to group up to curbstomp pugs.

I know not all premades group up to do that, but you have to admit it's like 75% of what they end up doing. At least for us NA players, it seems that way.

75% (your number) it is a stomp no matter if premade vs premade, pug vs premade or pug vs pug here in EU prime time.
If we had more premades though fights would last longer and be more challenging in general which can be considered a good thing. Also nobody will learn decent grp play without being in a premade. ;)

You can either add the player's name to the assist macro that you create i.e. /assist Zabis, or you can install the mod SwiftAssist and you'll have one button that makes your currently targeted friendly player the player that you assist and another button that assists that player.

The OP should just copy and paste over what he wrote before... and maybe then he would give good advice.
mdillard wrote:This isn't for people who are experienced with pvp (rvr) content.

1.) FIGHT ON THE FLAG...

2.) Peel your healer...

3.) Order of execution...
Healers<Tanks<DPS
Killing the DPS, or trying to, while tanks and healers are up is even more comical to behold.

4.) Tanks, you have a knock back...

In fact, these 4 things are what premades dynamically impose on the battle.
Premades don't fight on flags, like ever. All they do is go around and kill people. PuGs are the ones who stand near the flags, completely idle, while the enemy rdps bomb the hell out of them and push on their healers, forcing them to kite.

It's a good try but first it's better to learn the game of WAR and then go around giving people advice. ;)

Joining a premade is a good idea even if you don't care about premades and simply prefer to pug. Playing in a premade will teach you much more than any forum thread and will improve your performance when solo.

It is not that rare for a Pug of experienced players to beat a premade. I have seen it several times.
