[POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
It's hard to believe so many people liked the resource carrier system. I thought it was the worst system of them all. But then again most original players quit after the removal of Forts.

who ever vote #3 system people here, i think you did played that patched at live, and most are left the game when the patched changed to 1.4.8... grateful
Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
All options are pretty weak IMO.
Couriers caused even more disparity between sides, and victory points system is just sadistic.
1 - First of all, rewards for capturing anything must be removed. The goal is to capture a zone, so lets stimulate it, do not let people just harvest renown at BOs. Make zone capture a significant achievment,
2 - only people near BOs or keep must be rewarded.
3 - apply AAO meter on both factions - people will need to know, if they dominate, or they are dominated.
4 - no one can lock BO. It must be possible to capture it anytime. Players always must protect BO if they don't want to loose it.
5 - Here comes AAO. At any AAO below 150 only 1 BO must be taken to attack a keep.
At 200+ AAO enemy faction must capture and hold 2 BOs
At 300+ AAO 3 BOs.
Something like that.
Sorry for a poor grammar.

Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
I personally don't like AAO at all....It's more of a scare of then anything. If you wanna know the seize of your oponent then send scouts. That gives soloers 6man groups more of a purpose in RVR. The bonus can still be there But I really don't like the buff icon spoiling everything. I also don't like the idea of AAO being part of the mechanic. If you're in war and are heavily outnumberd why should it be easier for you to capure strategic points. It just doesn't make any sence. If anything it should be harder. Wich greater numbers does naturally. Whats needed in the game is a reason for the underdogs to go against greater numbers that isn't based on rewards. But necessity for your realm.
But i'm not against AAO rewarding more XP or Renown coz that really don't have much impact on the campain in the long run.

I played up to the EA cap increase, quit just when that dropped.Bacta wrote:It's hard to believe so many people liked the resource carrier system. I thought it was the worst system of them all. But then again most original players quit after the removal of Forts.
I dont really remember it, but I think that was the system in place as I was on my way out. Dont really recall cus by that time i had 2 maxxed characters (not including Sov gear) and we didnt really bother with keep taking etc. More of a Havok group that hunted other warbands.
Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
The best system of the poll is the RoR system. The worse is the resource carrier system.
What is needed from an RvR system is to reward players for helping the realm. Take a BO=Reward. Fight at the keep=reward. The best system makes players fight on the lakes. The worse produces mailbox fighters. If you see many people guarding mailbox it is the RvR system fail, not people fault. Nothing works in this life without modivation.
And I see AAO discused also. AAO is one of the best ideas of the warhammer online makers. Withaout AAO buff, we will have a pve game that everyone logs to the winning side. The buff needs to be there and needs to be seen so it modivates people to fight when outnumberd. Without AAO buff, people will get bored fighting empty keeps and the numbers of players will drasticaly reduced and the RoR will die eventually.

Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
I didn't try the carrier-system, but the RoR-system was the worst one I ever tried.
I had my vote on the 3rd option for the longest time. Changed it yesterday to the 4th one. Don't really want RvR to be dictated by PvE and SCs.
Also, I think AAO is a good thing, generally. The problem arises when pugs can easily see who has it, and relog accordingly. I personally think it would be better to make it hidden.

This.
Never missed Fortresses on live, though; I was very happy with Zone Locks with last Keep take and then right off to City Siege action!
