Parry is actually quite optional. Currently a must buy though due to the broken defense calc = Disrupt.
RR skills you should consider:
*20 points in Disrupt (must have)
*10 points in Cleansing Winds (should have)
*10 points in Parry (optional)
*10 points Resolute Defense (optional)
*5 points Healcrit + 4 points Parry + 1 Randomstat (optional)
Pick a mixture of whatever you prefer.

Do you need RD when you have focused mind? Given the natures of healers in fights its pretty fast morale genereation and i feel you wouldhave it up more often than RD with its 5m cd?

Like i said - due to the behavior of Defense% atm and the lack of any strikethrough for the time being Disrupt is a _must_ have. With your average 20% of Disrupt you avoid every fifth spell of a Sorc's/BW's rota - and those classes are played in abundance atm. There is nothing that pisses me off more than people having stacked Disrupt on my sorc. Tbh alone from the feel it mitigaes more than 20% of my damage, simply because i cannot decide what gets disrupted.Tklees wrote: I think 15 in crit is kinda important. RD is a quite neat tool for DoKs like mentioned above, but not that important for WPs. Allthough you can run with rampant syphon m2 as WP as well, which is a fullheal for your group in most cases - no matter if youre healdebuffed or them. As a DoK for obvious reasons you always run with KhainesWithdrawal.
Regarding the Crit: For the time being the baseheal values are so low, that you not necessarily need to opt in for Crit over your defense.
As said some time ago Armor>All, but if we generalize it a bit more its basically Defense>All, or rather Defense>Crit>All
Since we just have 40 points available at max, id rather put them into survivabilty for the time being unless you and your group feel safe enough to take more Crit. For your casual random solo player, id still put it into Defense though

The thing is that we currently use the 'lite' Version of Bruglirs Calcs, and not the sniffed one from Londo.
This was mentioned throughout the forum a few times actually, but i cant be arsed to look them all up.
But lemme show you the numbers ->
BSP: Attacker 900 int +2% antidisrupt from items, defender 200 willpower +18% Renown disrupt and 2% from items.
Londo/Live ->
DisruptStrikeThrough% = (900 / (35 * 7.5 + 50) * 0.075)*100 + 2% = 23.6%
TargetDisrupt% =((200) / (35 * 7.5 + 50) * 0.075)*100 + 20% [2% item + 18% renown] = 24.8%
FinalDisrupt% = 1.2%
Bruglir/RoR ->
((200 willpower/900 intelligence*0.075)+(0.20-0.02))*100= 19.66% disrupt chance.
What do we see here?
Both calcs are quite bad, since they favor either extreme too hard and they need to be revisited. Aza knows that but finding a balanced Version for that can be quite hard, but that is another topic.
In any case currently Disrupt/Parry/Dodge stacking is highly valuable for now.

This has the side effect of ensuring that investing in renown defense and abilities that increase defense is not a trap because of softcapped attacking stats wiping out all of the renown defense and then some (strikethrough is about 30% for having softcapped attacking stats with the formula marked as "Live").

Which is a very good change to be honest. Yup. I don't think the Bruglir formula is perfect for the current game state. But I don't agree with free 30% strikethrough either. In the future, we need a rethink of how strikethrough is generated, either through renown stats or adjusting base stats, to make sure that we neither have the trap situation of basic 30% strikethrough on every DPS, requring you to have above 30% parry/disrupt/dodge before you get any benefit at all, nor the uncounterable defense situation of current Return of Reckoning.
