please dont post these screenies as if they show magus being good, lol
Well, when there is tons of solid healing in a Scenario, unfortunately it does show a Warrior Priest who did 500k, and another one who did 240k.
Ofc, because you can just spam groupheal to heal the ineffective aoe dmg.

Sizer wrote:Changing is only good for magus when they get surging power and actually can burst someone down after loading them up with dots, in t3 they are really only good for the above. Which honestly isnt terrible if you pair it with a bomb sorc that can finish people off, but since you guys didnt, theres no point.
Normally we do, we were just short on healers at that moment so our bombsorc was healing.

Can the Dissolving Mist ticking 2-3 times per second be fixed already?

Wow, 132791 damage per killblow.
I tried to achieve this with ID and flurry-spam on the slayer but i always failed so far.
Conclusion: Magus >>> Slayer.

Go hard mode - Play a Wrath priest and try to get that with Soulfire/Guilty Soul.

Actualy? Yes it is. Saw slayers dealing 440k dmg in scenario with more or less kill count just thanks to ID, flury/jagged age procs aoe spamming.

The point of this huge dmg number is that if enemy side has no good or has few healers, Magus/engi helps theyr single target dps to kill easier, because he force enemy healers cast group heals and group/single target cleans more often. Now someone says I group hot will manage this, ehm ... not. 3 AOE dots ticking each for 300dmg, 3 single target dots also ticking 200-300dmg is not 1 hot can deal with. Combine this with disolving mist and it preasure healers focusing more group heals and also cleans dotted targets, while super single target class like sorc/bw or WE/WH, choppa/WL burst theyr target down much easier.

Point is that engi/magus are not "Alpha" killers, but assist DPS. I am not saying they dont need some tweaking, because they do especialy with mobility, but they can do theyr role pretty well.
