It's not a nerf it's a fix, random jumping isn't able to be factored into balance equations in any shape or form. If this truly hurts a class it can be buffed through abilities. It's asinine for ranged to have and advantage just by jumping.
Then put a cooldown on jump. Or make it cost AP. Snaring them is too big of a nerf to these classes. And it's not a "fix". A fix would be if jumping didn't affect forward movement. It's a bandaid to a problem that needs stitches and a ton of antibiotics at this point. I love the Dev team and I volunteered to be a part of helping out in any way that I can but I think something different should be looked at.

I know nothing about coding but I remember that jumping forces the sever to update your position is calling this not possible?

For example I jump once my position is updated the cap is engaged because I'm in combat I jump again I get no update until the regular interval?

But the arguments against this change are valid. Why not change to higher getting damage, when getting hit after 2-3 jumps?
Bunny hopping affects melee

Higher damage is irrelevant when their character is warping and none of your melee attacks can reach

My problem with all this is that we have been jumpin in retail for years and now suddenly we are all exploiters and shhould be ashamed.

The game forces you to do it a lot of the time to kite, there is terrain that you will never be able to run past without jumping, we cannot just forget years of muscle memory because now you feel like we are cheaters that are exploiting things.

Regarding bunnyhopping: I am new to the server and I wasn't aware of this problem here. I have nothing against the "fix".
But this kind sir just took the words from my mouth.
