Re: [Zealot]Will dev bring back the days of dps Zealot
I would say Zealot DPS on RoR is NOT entirely useless. I have played a few (admittedly T2) SC's and topped damage charts most times. The only thing i will say is it's not bursty enough to actually kill anything but it isn't bad sustained damage.
Also soloing in the RvR lakes the only thing i couldn't kill were healers.

A tier 2 scenario is hardly a good qualifier.
Anyway in Tier 4 Zealots would do something like this for ORvR... http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=zea ... :;;0:0:0:0:
The point was to crit on blobs of players and give a 50% incHD to all of them. It was the only niche DPS zealot had because its single target damage is laughably bad.

Re: [Zealot]Will dev bring back the days of dps Zealot
-15 secs DoT
RP-ZEALOT lvl 2
AM – SHAMAN lvl 2
-2secs cast dmg to health
RP-ZEALOT min lvl 25 (10 points into left hand tree, RP 100% dmg to health - zealot 5 secs cd)
AM -SHAMAN lvl 4 150% dmg no cd
-24 sec DoT 150% dmg back to health
RP min lvl 29, 14 points into middle tree 100% health, ZEALOT: no matching ability.
AM – SHAMAN lvl 9 150% dmg
-9 secs DoT -5% chance to be crit
RP-ZEALOT : no matching ability
-6 secs channel
RP-ZEALOT min level 25 (10 points into middle tree)
AM-SHAMAN lvl 6
Zealot (and Runepriest) has many if not all the damage abilities that AM and Shaman have, except that zealot hasn't been granted a 24 sec DoT lifetap like the other three cloth support classes, and taking into account that zealot's corporeal resist debuff needs a tactic (maybe I'm wrong, I'm relying on my wobbly memory here) and doesn't have the stat debuffing arsenal that AMs and shamans have. also no AoE snare, ......
The problem seems to be that runies and zealots get their damage dealing tools much much later than AM and shaman, far up in their trees, and an inferior version to boot.
I think it's fair that support classes should have to wait until higher levels to have the arsenal to dps and spec precious skill points to get them.
Therefore the dps arsenal at AMs and shaman's disposal already in t1 seems to me unaccountable, and in need of revision, if only for fairness' sake among the healing classes.
Unless you plan to tell me that the imbalance in dps in favour of AM-shaman is a trade off for their worse healing performance. Do you guys really think that AM-Shaman are as negatively imbalanced in healing as they are positively imbalanced in dps? Really? I've even read in the forums people state that AM is best than any other support class at keeping ST alive.
I think AM - Shaman need some tweaks to enhance their healing performance to put them at the same level as RP-Zealot and WP-DoK, and a severe rearrangement of their abilities to bring them in line with the other support classes when it comes to dps.
Specifically I would suggest not taking any of their offensive toys away, but simply making them wait to get them, just as Runies and Zealots have to wait and spend points to reach those abilities.

5s is laughable and your grp wont kill any one in aoe with that, why take it over other form of inc hd? And it will have your zealot try and run pray for a crit with either demonic spittle or the channel
all that for an extreamly short HD

Aoe was a different beast back then, you should judge skills for the enviroment they were in.TenTonHammer wrote:and?

An aoe HD is much better when people are melting to aoe damage.

Re: [Zealot]Will dev bring back the days of dps Zealot
That build was suggested as a "niche" build for DPS zelots to do in T4 no in the past but t4 in the future and AoE means more or less bomb grp which means your looking at Chosen, AoE Sorc, Magus/Choppa 1 healer and your dps zelot running around channeling and hoping for crits while your other single healer struggles to keep up your team unless you run 1 -3 -2 with only 1 tank
Trying that agaist a wb will be hardle effective with all the gheals and clense that can be thrown around
i am quite frankly no sold an the idea that it would be effective at least st the tactic would work more often

I said open RvR. That isn't 1 party, thats a warband. The application of a 50% AoE healdebuff in warband vs warband combat should be obvious. Its useless in 6v6 setting however.TenTonHammer wrote:That build was suggested as a "niche" build for DPS zelots to do in T4 no in the past but t4 in the future and AoE means more or less bomb grp which means your looking at Chosen, AoE Sorc, Magus/Choppa 1 healer and your dps zelot running around channeling and hoping for crits while your other single healer struggles to keep up your team unless you run 1 -3 -2 with only 1 tank
