And Game Master only becomes fun when you can zap em too.

Off with their heads.....I have quit playing games because of bots. Very annoying. And I used to be a huge Diablo fan, bought all the games, except for latest expansions because of bots. I played the first chapter and quit. I think their should be zero tolerance to bots. This game is free. But that does not mean bots should be allowed, even to boost membership. But of course, that is my own opinion.
Re: Bots & Punishment
That honestly sounds a bit crazy to me. In Diablo bots don't affect your game play at all. They go off and farm gear but to quit because of that is really silly to me. If some guy can sit and play 14 hours a day everyday to farm tons of gear its fine... but if he puts a little program to wander him around for 14 hours its somehow the worst thing in the world? If it doesn't directly ruin your game play why do people get so up in arms?dynorex wrote:Off with their heads.....I have quit playing games because of bots. Very annoying. Yes, but he puts in 14 hours to get those tons of gear. He put time and effort into that. A bot doing the exact same thing is not putting in the effort the other player did. He AFK's and is all of a sudden equal to someone who put in so much effort. You can see the unfairness in that, right?dynorex wrote: If some guy can sit and play 14 hours a day everyday to farm tons of gear its fine... but if he puts a little program to wander him around for 14 hours its somehow the worst thing in the world? Re: Bots & Punishment
If the devs are fine with bots, then get a bot. If they aren't then don't.
As if gear ever made up for being bad anyway!

Re: Bots & Punishment
I can beat a bot player any day, he wont be better just because he botted to get his gear. Isn't it unfair that someone who can play for 14 hours a day and get all the gear, but someone who plays 2 hours a day will never be able to compete. Why do people care SOOOo much about how someone else achieved anything? x-x I really don't understand.

Re: Bots & Punishment
Sure, but they're bads with better stats than you, which, depending on how ridiculous the power gap is, can still result in your death.
