invalid username/password

I can log into the forums but not into the game. After reading all the posts I could find about this issue, I changed my password so that it has no numbers or special symbols. I have tried to log in 3 times today and had no luck.
Is this simply a matter of needing to way for some unknown amount of time for the forum name/password to sync with the launcher?

I created another account and made a new toon just so I could play while I'm waiting, but I'd really like to have my original account back. Most of my guildies are in T3 now and I only needed one more level to be able to play with them.

This is a current known problem. The short term solution that sometimes works is to set your password to all lowercase and no numbers.

Until it updates on the game server, there's nothing we can do. I would advise to just play on an alt account until your main works once more.

Anything 8 characters or less should be fine.

Have you had any luck yet Koryu199x? I have the same issue at the moment, I needed to change my password for reasons out of my control, got the reset email that was cool, logged into forums and changed my password to something suitable, logged out of forum and tested, all good was pretty happy by this point, opened the ROR launcher, put in UN & PW and got invalid username/password error.. logged back into forum with no issues, tried the launcher a few more times but it just would not work and then I looked up the tech issues on forum, found this and tried creating a 8 character password with no numbers etc.. it is still not letting me back in.

I just wanted to follow up on this for the benefit of anyone else who gets this issue.. My game password was reset by the next day and I was able to log back in and play once more
