Re: KOTBS discussion
The tactic locks down and hard counters healing shamans. Shaman's man healing source comes from hots. You don't need to chase after the shaman. Whatever the DPS is focusing on, all the knight has to do is slot a tactic to eliminate a healer.
This is a core tactic.
Knight's are the most common Order tank.
Shaman healing is not powerful enough to deserve a hard counter.
Any knight, worth their salt, that see's at least one healing shaman in the roster will slot the tactic...because it best possible choice.
Tell me how this is not a problem? What if Black Orcs could do the same thing? There really is no reason for this nonsense...especially on what is considered the easiest and most powerful tank in the game (currently)

What can they do? Accept that after 6 years using the class they didnt actually put any thought into it?Tklees wrote:I hate to say but I see Bretin's point from time to time. The amount of delusional ideas and concepts I read here on a daily basis is just astounding. Anyone who thinks kotbs is in an acceptable state just lacks perspective. It's not as bad as people like tesq make it but its unbalanced for sure
Think about that, he has been at it for 6 years, imagine the hell the guy is passing through now, 6 years and people are saying that he did it wrong all this time?
Impossible, it must be the youngsters who are wrong!
You may think i am joking but probably the only reason why destruction doesnt have a mirror is because no order healer can put 3 healing "enchatments" on a target. Am can put 2 and one of them is healing energy which he shouldnt be using anyway.Tklees wrote: Tell me how this is not a problem? What if Black Orcs could do the same thing?
Re: KOTBS discussion
My solution to destroy confidence was to change the shaman toughness or regular hot to a blessing so that it wouldn't be a complete counter. I have yet to have anyone respond to that suggestion. The tactic itself isn't OP its the fact it removes shamans that is. So why not just tweak Shamansbloodi wrote:What can they do? @TK: Maybe change something from Dok to Enchantment, to compensate? Soul Infusion, for example.
Re: KOTBS discussion
That could work. It would need to be that or the aoe hot from zealot.Penril wrote:@TK: Maybe change something from Dok to Enchantment, to compensate? Soul Infusion, for example.

Re: KOTBS discussion
how this is so hard to understand is beyond me. tripple shatter dosnt stip only the 2 hots from shamans. It remove the shield, gfi hot part, greener and cleaner hot part, greener and cleaner bubble and resist buff. So yea, you got abit hard way to keep your target up when tripple shatter is around. When destro says the tactic "destroys" Shamans it is not because the KotBS uses DC directly on the Shaman. It is because it damages anyone the Shaman is trying to heal with HoTs.
Imho, DC doesn't "destroy" Shamans but it certainly makes it way harder for them to keep an ally alive (and Shamans, like AM's, already have a high skill cap). My suggestion for a change: the tactic lets you remove an enchantment at 65ft (like it was before) BUT it only removes one enchantment and not 3.
Basiclly to avoid 3ple shatter shamans should use gheal, st big heal and shrug it off. So why at such environment why not just take zealot instead. When the whole group dies, it is meaningless that shaman will survive and kite till the end of the world

Re: KOTBS discussion
People always blame someone else for their fails. Don't stand in place waiting till a kotbs, who for some reason has this highly situational tactic instead of +10% crit, comes 5ft close to you. Learn to kite. Learn to choose position. Ask your tank to switch guard. Nobody said winning is easy.

Re: KOTBS discussion
the solution is easy, just dont bring shaman. Satisfied?

Re: KOTBS discussion
I also find it funny that Destroy Confidence is a core tactic. Meaning, the KotBS can run whatever spec he wants (ANY spec). And if he joins a SC and sees Shaman healers, he just needs to swap 1 tactic to make their jobs much harder.
@Nishka: how can a mdps kite away from the KotBS if he is trying to kill someone? That target will try to get close to the KotBS for guard. Unless you are suggesting destro should only play rDPS, your point makes no sense (again).
