for bombing: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=sor ... 5:;0:0:0:0: and please, dont bomb with a choppa. no matter if chop fasta or not. magus or 2nd sorc are way better. shadow knives are quite strong, and has more range than cascades so its really good. if you go with 2nd sorc you can always use infernal gift or neverending agony.Penril wrote:Mez schooling us all. I use Black Horror for the Init debuff, throw a few Ice Spikes and then spam IW (when possible)/Disastrous Cascade. Any thoughts?
Re: sorc builds
I agree with chaoself: black horror is a bad joke made to sorcs. You look for the highest damage output so you need piercing shadows (it's not as good as wildfire but it's a great damage increase) and neverending agony > lengthening shadows.

With Pots and decent talis you can get int cap without EK, swap that for Close Quarters(only really useful in small SCs like Isha, Gates, Mourkain where you're usually getting dicked on by melee) or Infernal Gift if you're not greedy. HoR is nice but I don't like standing around more than I have to, and considering I only use the 1st tick of it 99% of the time I'd rather get ID and buff the other 75% of my single target damage by going up Agony.

Re: sorc builds
On topic : Are 5-pieces bonus worth it for sorc? And why? Isn't Thickmuck Spellcrown (the influence helm with 2% crit) the best available helm in t3?
Is it worth it to buy 4 epic int talismans to replace 4p deva with 4p duellist?

- I run full purple talis and blue pots and still cant get soft capped without EK or rr on intel.
- Your rotation is mostly based on dots, so unless you just go around spamming doombolts and gloombursts, i don't see a point choosing 1st tree over 2nd (unless you dont have a rotation ofc). You could mix up the 2 trees like someone suggested, but personally i think it sucks. =D
- HoR is absolutely amazing, adds so much burst to your rotation, if it ticks with your WoP.
Just try the spec Penril+Dreah suggested, you will see how much of a difference it makes

Cheers!

This part of your post doesn't really make sense to me. Are you talking about a single target burst rotation or just throwing out random damage rotation?
The only DoT you have that does actual burst damage is WoP. Chillwind > WoP > Doombolt > (Maybe Arctic Blast) > Gloomburst > HoR/ID is the rotation most people use I'm assuming. Chillwind isn't really needed, besides to try and hide WoP from cleanses. So in everyone's case, 3/4 or 4/5 of our rotation is in Agony, I'm buffing the majority of my single target damage. Also with ID you have more mobility, if you pick up GoN thats another cast you have to stand still for. Also HoR requires you to stand still, even for the 1st tick, ID does not. I'm not standing in 1 spot spamming Doombolt and Gloomburst, I'm playing at 100ft kiting in and out for kills, and this build allows me to move more freely.
Unless you want to throw around alot of fluff damage and be a Magus I don't see a point in going up Calamity past VoD.
