Help Build a Better New Player Guide (Community Input Needed!)

Hey everyone,

I’m working on updating the new player guide since the current wiki is missing a lot of helpful info for beginners.

Instead of guessing what I should write on the wiki, I’d rather hear directly from you all, especially based on your real experiences in-game.

If you were starting fresh again, what do you wish you knew earlier?

Some ideas:

• Early mistakes new players always make
• Systems or mechanics that aren’t explained well
• Leveling tips that save time/frustration
• Role-specific advice that isn’t obvious
• Gear, economy, or progression traps
• Hidden features or quality-of-life tips

Even small things help. If it confused you at first, it’ll probably help someone else.

Appreciate any input, the goal is to turn this into something that actually helps new players stick with the game

From the most useful to the less

-Switch the game in English (!)
Otherwise spells and quest can be really deceiving
(I wish other lang would only show a translated Book of Knowledge)
-Download Enemy addon
-Download WoH reticle addon
Wonder if those two could be integrated like SoR (?)

Explain :
-Immunities
-Detaunt (doesnt break on previous dot/aa)
-Guard range/switch
-Clic casting for healers
-Healdebuff for dps
-Stats (corp is magic / snb needs block ect...)

Indicate :
-War Report / Bind book at capital
-Ward system / npc gear locations / Dungeons + PQ road
-AH + Craft locations
-Useful cmd like .changename /partyresetinstance /rel

A QNA npc at starting zone with those answers might be a fun idea (or a better /help)
