The pets basic-speed is the same as of players. You have to use either "Charge" or the tactic "Speed Training" to increase the pets movement.

option 1 sounds good.
it solves the problem of 1 class having mobility + armor debuff + burst with easy to spec CC.
combo is so good WL will still do it but with investment.
it's not killing other specs. there're many skills just not bursty.
dmg will be fine, it's burst this option addressing.

option 2 axe skill to guardian is not fit for mastery trait.

additionally, how about exchanging pounce(hunter) with echoing roar(guardian).
reducing mastery synergy of mobility from armor debuff+burst.

side note,
SH having CS mirror in core is little worried.
WL( and ASW ) is the reason destro squishy backlines were hunted down.
if this change revive destro backlines SH might be next WL.

hence, i think modification of pet stats might be better.

It never looks like that from the WL's POV. Ever. The pet stutter steps and constantly drops out of melee range, and needs to be much closer to the target in order for abilities like fetch, the snare, and the kd to fire off. If someone hits flee and keeps moving in a sensible way, my pet will never ever catch up and make up the difference in distance, ever. Until I hit charge.

this class needs a big nerf and everyone knows it.

Why does it take so long?
Reduce the Dmg about 30% and the Cooldown of Pounce to 30seconds, then we will be fine

Coordinated Strike is 100% a mandatory part of your burst (it is even more important than the Armor Debuff, which you can technically substitute with an IB). WL is a frontloaded burst class, and this is the frontloaded burst skill that enables a WL to launch upon an unsuspecting squishie, and deliver a world of hurt within 2/3 GCDs. I can say with 100% certainty that if CS were to be made 13-pt Hunter, every single WL worth a damn would spec for this - killing other specs.

How do you intend to kill good players without CS being part of your rotation now? Hint: you won't.

Also, to reiterate: the player burst is not the issue here, so why would we nerf the player's damage and not the pet's?

I really hope the good feedback people are giving (from both camps) isn't drowned out by some of the 'nerf bcoz nerf!' stuff people are spouting.

This video is from Jan 2017, back then Aza wrote: "Pets have a higher speed to compensate for pathing issues." Currently pet speed is the same as player.

I agree the pets could need a dmg nerf. But if you start messing with the skills the class could get killed. You sacrifice alot to get the dmg dealt.

i will write a complete post this late evening when i get back home, but wl need a rebalance more than a nerf, there are issues both on the reciving side (destru side) and on the player side (wl player).

Certain solutin will make wl better overall while also keep it in line with rest of melee dd.
