Invader Gear Acquisition

Sorry i assume this has been discussed before, but what would be the negative of Invader gear dropping from gold bags once your RR reaches ~60?

As it is currently almost no one will get this set, it barely drops from forts, and no one will waste crests on it, and the PVE alternative is ridiculously easy to get.

It feels like this would help smooth out the RVR gear progression path and make people not feel so forced to PVE if they didnt want to.

No clue, that was from way back, from 5 years ago, when PVE sets did not count towards RVR sets, back then you had to do Gunbad, and equip Redeye armor, in order to do Crypts, BB, and get sentinel armor, which was required in order to equip Bloodlord armor.

So back then everyone had to buy, invader armor set, there was no way to skip it, by equipping Bloodlord, and moving straight to Warlord, Sov.

The same as Victor, and Trimp armor sets, you needed to do ranked sc, and acquire ranked crests to buy Vic/Trimp armor.

If anything they can do away with needing the invader ring, to complete the set,

BS is really easy, I think it was more difficult back in 2020, we cleared it the first couple days after it was added, but supposedly a lot of people struggled, so now its easier. You could just skip invader completely, run bs 2 or 3 times, get invader ward, and go straight to whatever endgame set you want,

They could prob add it in purple fort bags to motivate people play quality forts more.

As i said in numerous topics invader need 2 things

Add invader pieces on all bags green+ on fort drops
Remove ring slot restriction.

2 easy changes that will make invader much batter and obtainable

Would it be healthy for mixing set bonuses?

It should be priority to bring more gearing options and for change that to be pvp option.
Wont be bis but quite close imo and for some classes may be some 3-4 set mixes would be decent
And that will help and smooth the transition from 60rr+ to rr78

So potentially the idea of adding them to fort bags, what about adding them to normal gold RVR bags then at a certain RR, is it because it would be too quick? how long do you think it would take to get full invader with zone gold bags vs how long it would take with fort bags, and how would this compare to the PVE route which can be done in 7-8 days

I am not against that but thematically invader were fort level loot and making them more accessible via forts will make more ppl attend more forts esp when on the loosing side.
But the most important is to remove the ring restrictions cos that limitation make the gear much or less worthless.

Imo the gear acquisition of all high level sets (invader and above) should be bound to high level content in some way to give this content some of its lost meaning back:

Make invader/warlord/sov obtainable in fortress and city bags for players with the correct ward.

These items can or can not be made exclusive to these types of content, too.

Since it is Order zerging 5 to 7 forts every 3 days for 6 to 8 months straight vs Dest maybe 1 a week at most, the losing side is Dest, I grinded out full Invader on 3 Order toons back in 2020-2021, back when you couldn`t bypass it like now. Since then I haven`t bothered to do a fort, or city, no point, easier to skip it completely, with Bloodlord, rather than feed Order trying to get Invader in fort, since I no longer bother playing order, as it`s semi boring steamrolling dest . Retired my order way back in 2022, can`t see how yall even have fun knowing you may only lose 1 fort every 7 days lol
