the good news is that I'm having a lot of fun with RoR. I've now played almost all classes once at CR 15 to 16 and am getting a feel for them. That took me about 7 weeks, depending on how I managed my time. I enjoy the Squid Herder and the Witch Hunter the most.
Order seems to have the advantage that you get into scenarios much faster and progress is quicker, or am I wrong? Without this order bonus in the scenarios, Destor would definitely be my choice. I find the site much more visually appealing.
Here is a brief summary with AI of a conversation yesterday:
I don't really have any questions about the Witch Hunter. That's pretty much how someone just described it to me: ""I’ve been thinking about the Squig Herder’s place in the current 1v1 meta and why it feels like such an uphill battle compared to other classes. While the SH is great at being an annoying harasser in scenarios, it seems to lack the necessary burst or raw defensive power to consistently win duels against competent players. Since the class relies so heavily on perfect kiting and managing pet mechanics, a single mistake usually leads to a quick death, especially against high-pressure melee classes. It feels like you have to work twice as hard as a tank or a dedicated melee DPS just to stay alive, often without the reward of being able to actually secure the kill before the enemy outheals your pressure." Do you agree?
How good is the Squig as an rmDD? Is it a good duel class, i.e. in 1v1, or not really? When I asked on Discord—I have to admit that not everyone there is always friendly and some even laugh at you—no one really answered my question. What do you think?
Is the Squig a strong class? Or not really?
I would really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Very much so, because I want to make a decision and level up one of the two classes and play it through to the endgame.
