RP in RVR

Hi, I am a returning player after quite some time.

I was playing RvR today and I spent quite some time in an area and with a warband. I got kills, I captured objectives, transferred boxes and in the end we got the zone. But I got 1000 RR for killing the keep boss and 2000 RR after zone lock. Do these numbers make sense? They look kinda irrational to me considering all the thousands of points I need to level up my RR. Was I doing some thing wrong?!

RoR has nerfed Renown gain like 200-300% for no good reaason and encouraging this kind of behaviour

That's quite demotivating. I felt like the almost 1.5 hour I spent in that zone was for nothing with these minimal rewards

If they want to keep players around, the players need to feel a sense of progression. Yes the game in live was hard core and you needed to be dedicated and grind for each milestone. Times have changed and so have mmos. I would like to see the new influx of players stick around.

If the zone was empty of defenders nobody will get much RR from a lock. If you partucipate in LOADS of action in a zone (200+,kills, big keep defence) you might get 20k RR. 1k & 2k is on low side, but not too shabby tbh, tou can see a lot less, but I'm guessing there was not a huge amount of action or defence??

As others have said, it scales depending on how many enemies youve killed in the zone.

If you only turn up for the keep and don't kill anyone, then under 200rp for the keep and similar for the zone lock isn't uncommon. But some good fighting, some good kills, and 8k-10k for keep and 20k for zone lock can happen.

im not sure if box running helps with keep/zone lock RPs, but it does help with contribution towards bags.

Healer renown is broken right now, so you need to be in a group or warband to get major contribution. There are other factors too, such as AAO vs Diminishing Rations.
