Is there a lore reason why all chaos humans are Tzeentch related?

Tzeentch is happened to be my favourite chaos god but I'm still curious why all chaos classes are related to him. I could easily imagine a tank or a melee dps be a Khorne worshipper, a tank or a healer be Nurgle and a melee dps or even a healer be Slaanesh while the Magus would stay what it already is.

This game the Devs made Tzeentch the main Chaos enemy, but all 4 Chaos Gods have there human followers in Lore just for this game Devs choosed Tzeentch. most PC games had Nurgle as main enemy, last now SM2 40k also picked Tzeentch.

It went like this, when the game was originally made:

-Khorne doesn't likes mages, while players love mages, so no can do.
-Nergle is not everybody's taste, playing rotting toon with the innards coming out likely won't be overly popular.
-Depicting Slaanesh followers realistically, yep not happening lol. As much as we would love that.

So Tzeentch was the one left.

Will also say in PvE/Dungeons they are all included. In City Dungeons u have both Khorne and Nurgle, and in Lost Vale if they ever do it Final Boss is Slaanesh so.

I long wanted more skins so u Chaos characters can identify as one fo the 4 Chaos Gods but maybe thats to hard to make

i remember them talking about it in the early days - quite simply tzeentch is the most intelligent and "level headed" of the four gods which allowed for the most flexability for the game.

Working with other races etc.

I'm still mad that they not decided to go with Chaos Undevided. Would still be much better for chaos lovers of the other gods. There's nothing else you can do but color your armor in the favored scheme of the desired entity and silently cry a little bit inside because of those few spots that won't change the color blue.


For OP, yes, it's a direct lore decision. Age of Reckoning plays in an alternative timeline of Warhammer.

If y'all read the comics that came with the collector's edition of the original game it makes more sense.

The Raven Host leader, Tchar-whateverhisname is bands together the divided tribes of Norsca whom all worship the various chaos deities. He just came out on top. So there will be NPCs that feature all of the Chaos gods etc, like Khornites (Bastion Stair) and whatnot.

That's an interesting point! It does seem like the chaos classes could be more diverse in their alignment with the different gods. Each chaos god has such distinct traits that it would make sense to see a wider variety of roles tied to them escape road
