Forts and punts

For attackers it is too easy to fly to the fort and punt someone to the outside, where it is basically game-over for them when they are out of range for healers and gonna get prisoned when they have to release.

It's kind of odd that attackers can do this over and over again, while for the defenders one punt can end their game. Same for pulls. One bad pull and it's over.

Due to this nobody takes a step outside the lord room. It would be more fun to have fights all over the place instead of just the meltdown in the lord room.

The punishment for defenders dying outside the lord room where they can't get rezzed and have to release should to be reduced.

What is your opinion on this?

PS: please fix the prison lever. It can be activated by attackers and is then locked for I think a minute and can't be activated by defenders in that time. That's a long time when their respawn point is usually next to the prison. They can die, release and come back before the lever can be activated again or the fight for the prision is over.

How it is game over, when one player in jail gets an "out of jail"-card every minute or so?
You had all chances to fight on the whole map in the stage before, now you retreat to inner fort for a last defense. There is no point to fight anywhere else.

How many attackers die in funnel? This might be unfair too, no?
When you get punted down, you made a mistake. Can't you accept, that you messed up your positioning and maybe make it better next time?

Every challenge people don't want to overcome has to be fixed aka removed?

Ranged DPS can target people coming for the 3rd floor.
Also attackers can only come as 6 to the 3rd and last floor (placed randomly), so a group of 6 defenders can kill them just when they arrived, but no one does that, I don't know why...

Some defenders can also roam around the jails or kills latecomers coming to the lord.
Defenders and attackers have options, but a lot of people prefer funnel.

my opinion is that the fort lord should radiate a res denying debuff like most dungeon and pq bosses. It should afflict both sides.

dead guys should respawn in their respective camps with a wounds debuff. this will make the fort something more of a tug of war, and not only give warbands the courage they need to make plays, but make it a necessity to thin eachothers numbers with morale bombs instead the typical attacker strat of waiting for everyones m4 and go hail mary 3-5 times in a fort.

he's referring to position, one of the first things you have to learn for a 3rd hold is where to stand so if you get punted you're likely to be saved by a prop or wall. "tanks backs to wall" is the call. you have to learn how punt angle determination works and where you're most likely to go. if ur a mdps you stand behind the tanks if youre getting punted off as ranged or healer idfk what to say

people like funnels, they're easy to organize, usually result in a decent amount of rp for everyone, everyone has a very well defined job to do which is the extreme of their class so theyre pretty gratuitous. people are gonna keep doing them

Where were the defenders? Usually my attempts are getting to the top floor result in getting jumped by a bajillion WHs roaming up there in packs (inside of course to prevent being punted out) and killing anything that lands. Sounds like a serious positioning problem if you're getting punted out of the tiny doors by the attackers.

Not sure about the pull thing, but being hit by a barrage of undefendable KDs from undetectable WHs/WEs whenever you are more than 15 foot from an ally with any non-tank class at any location on an rvr map does get a little tiresome.
