Ram, in order to deal damge to doors, have to be used by 4 tank simultaniously. Those 4 tank are using the ram. Sometime ram can be misplaced and doesn't deal damage. if a tank is using it then ram can't be moved. this means that if someone is using a misplaced ram then it is not dealing damage and it's vulnerable to attack from defenders. Other time ppl try to move ram away from oil, but ram doesn't get damage from oil so there's actually no point in moving it (with few exception) while oil is up

What Ysaran said.

And as long as you don't click the RAM while on your Mount you wont move it.

As soon as the RAM is in place go ahead and see for yourself how it looks ;) Just remember to be on Foot. Sometimes you need to exit and enter the RAM again (at least for me) cause the UI doesn't show.

Welcome to T4 :P

A few of the T4 zonelock and siege mechanics i can think of on top of my head:

Holding two of the battleobjectives will spawn resources for your realm, picking these up and running them to your realm's keep and turning them in at the flag inside inner keep bottom floor will give the person/party/warband a little tick of rp/exp/inf but also build the keep's rank up slowly. Check the bar on the map to see progression.

After a keep has reached 2 stars an offensive siege ram is available after a few minuts from reaching rank2, allowing the realm with a two star keep to spawn a ram at their own keep and drag it to the enemy keep. Rams are purchased with gold in warcamps, and you will need to be mounted to summon it when requirements are met.

Arriving at the enemy keep defenders on the wall will try to dismount the ram-owner with abilities and siege weaponery, the ram needs to be placed as close as you can to the door. And make sure not to turn it backwards :D The defenders have the option to deploy a boiling oil couldron over the ram, this will be player controled and deal unmitigateable 3x 3000 damage ticks per pour with around 5sec cooldown. At the point when an oil is deployed most players will pull out, or simply die. This will leave the ram exposed when no players are inside the ram and it takes additional damage. (oil damage is not damaging the ram, only players can destroy the ram or canons)

Commonly used tactcis with ram vs oil;
- Bait the first oil before the actual ramming start by going near the door and then pulling out not placein the ram.
- Send in Melee dps to bypass the postern door (archtype ability) and control the oil-house before sieging.
- Place the ram and outheal the oil damage, requires heavy focus healing and a showcase of organization.

Whenever the oil has been taken out with either Canon shots, ranged abilities or Meleedps beating on it. It now has a 3minut respawn time before it can be redeployed.
The goal of seiging a keep is ofc to take the gates down and kill the lord, but with 3minut respawn timer on the oil you actually want to get the door as close to 50% per oil respawn timer. Because when the door hits sub 50% the defenders can no longer use the gate to enter back and forth, annoying, punting and hitting the ram.

Should the ram get destroyed it has about 10minuts respawn timer before the next one can be spawned.

The actual mechanic of tank being inside the ram, they get a mini-game popping up when inside the ram. The first Rammer will start the minigame of all involved players needing to hit maximum power up to 100%power based on clicking the mouse at the right time. Hitting 90% is more than enough instead of risking going for the 100% but missing and hitting the 50%mark instead. (again tempo is key based on oil timer)

After both the gates of a keep as been destoryed, the lord has been tanked & killed. The dominating realm now needs to control the Ruin of the keep they just besieged, the doors will not respawn and the lord will never be revieved! Holding the lordroom clean of enemies will do the trick. Combined with holding the Ruin of the keep, you need to send forces out to hold 3/4 of the Battleobjectives + your own keep and wait for the zonelock-checker each passing minut (you can check this timer by hovering your mouse over the Victorypoint bar above your minimap and dont trust addon timers ;) )

IF you are in the rare situation of loosing your keep turning it into a Ruin, but then regaining control of the ruin plus getting strong momentum in the zone you can counter siege by spawning a ram at your Warcamp(!) as your keep is nolonger a keep. But now you need to prevent the enemy realm from walking into your exposed & undefended lordroom and stealing the zone, while your own realm needs to siege the enemy keep and afterwards control both Ruins plus 3/4 battleobjectives to secure the zone.
