Quality of Life Changes
Quality of Life Changes
In the patch notes it says this patch was a quality of life change. I'm just wondering for whom? Nerfing absorbs and procs for healers is a BIG deal. Power Creep is real and things die way faster than before. The whole tic thing for damage has made things really different and the new patch has not restored a normalized time to kill. It still needs some work.

Re: Quality of Life Changes
Its QoL for everyone, healers have hots and it was impossible to have %100 perfect uptime on hots/dots, but now it is

I don't understand i hit a key and would refresh my hot on a target. that's 100% imo. the nerfs to procs and absorbs screw over heals more than having to click a button to refresh a hot. plz explain?

Re: Quality of Life Changes
Do have to wonder who’s quality of life this patch helped
Re: Quality of Life Changes
QoL is not directly related to a specific faction, ability or whatsoever. It affects your everyday actions in the game, the slight changes for mailbox, auction house, flight masters, queues, how SCs pop and others that are related to the player-game interactions.
Re: Quality of Life Changes
Hmm from patch notes QoL seems to be defined a bit different, but whateverGamesBond wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 11:00 am QoL is not directly related to a specific faction, ability or whatsoever. In short the quality of life Dot improvements directly help range in standoff situations such as keep as they can be applied happily while gaining moral so at push point they are fully stacked, hits are helped but typically dots have longer time than hots.HoTs and DoTs will no longer refresh the tick timer when they are reapplied, and the remaining time of the current interval is carried over to the new HoT/DoT.
This is different to how it behaved on the live servers, but is a system other MMOs have adopted since then as it is a nice QoL improvement.
This also affects stacking dots when applying more stacks. Examples of such dots are:
- Shadow Warrior: Broadhead Arrow
.....
Re: Quality of Life Changes
The HoT and DoT mechanic was put in to save people watching their dots and trying to catch the timer at the right time to optimise their routes. Sure, buffs and DoT did get a slight 'buff' in the sense that players don't have to micro manage them as strictly.
Although we say that QoL changes have made it into a patch, this doesn't mean every change was QoL.
Damage scaling, DoTs double ticket etc are not the reason for the change, and should be seen as bugs and issues. Therefore reported correctly on the Bugtracker.
We have already released two hotfixes, both of which in one way or another address issues arisen.

Re: Quality of Life Changes
Y not an issue with effort to fix bugs, turn around is quite (edit very) good on that note, but effectively buffing range in keep take when already Destro had issue defending/taking would not have been my first choice. But this patch and the general feedback of balance based on feedback from players when we know how manny WL and BW on order side ever agreed that they were over powered , well suppose another 3 years till slayer *7 with cd reduction, ID+rampage is considered too much.Kaelang wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 11:58 am The HoT and DoT mechanic was put in to save people watching their dots and trying to catch the timer at the right time to optimise their routes. Re: Quality of Life Changes
This dot change takes away skill and replaces it with spam. It may be a small buff in small scale, but you ramp it up to Fort size and it becomes quite a lot more. Not a fan of this, but lets hope the team can make it work to everyone's best interest.

Re: Quality of Life Changes
Quality of life change = makes it more pleasant and efficient to do things. Making something a little less convoluted = good for casual players. Casual players = every new player in existence, as all the serious/tryhard player are already playing.
It's good. More of it please.
