Hello everyone,

I accidentally stumbled upon a video where the first RVR locksystem is explained in detail. perhaps many newbies are not even aware of how it was conceived and implemented on release, let them take a look. and also the veterans will brush away a stingy tear recalling past battles and days gone long long time ago.)

Was the best system far and away. Yeah it had it's faults but all ORvR, SC and PvE players could contribute to the greater game instead of mindless blob zergfest RvR that we have now

strange opinion). Many people expressed the mind that this was the most terrible system of all that existed until today.) you had to play the scenarios, and do those awful PvE). and oh god, you had to make twinks for t3 zones as well). and like the cherry on the cake, you had to look for the enemy in rvr lake and even defeat him. that there were serious tasks, not everyone was able to overcome them)

There was fun part of enemy has numbers advantage = don't join scs, since if you don't join = enemy can't win scs = no lock for them.

Nothing like a rousing game of "complete PQ's faster than the other guy" to get my blood pumping.

NPC bots replacing missing players in scenarios. Nice plans that never saw the day of light.

And:
"Scenarios is the most fun RvR that Warhammer Online has to offer. Because of this they count more towards victory points than any other form of RvR." <- not just a minigame :)

Reminds me of GW1, where bots were actually better at playing their classes than 90% of the players.

You haven't seen bots play, till you seen tank bots form tank wall infront of rdps bots, followed by rdps bots bursting your team with aoe, and necro bots instantly rezzing all your dead team members as their pets.

And to this day I remember this time when our team died, except for bot healer which we had with us. And then it managed to rez us 1 by 1, while kiting off local mobs. Not kidding lol.

Yes the classic system where people would do naked scenarios to throw points to get fort defs.

Yep. it was nice to rewatch the old trailer videos. I was especially amused by the moment where Shadow Warior, as if reluctantly wins and kills Marauder)

yeah, a really strange decision that has ever been done in this game). perhaps if the scenarios had only 5-10% influence, then the system would work in a completely different way).
