Grimnir calling out someone for lack fo communication skills is hilarious, not that I agree with much of the stuff the person he was reacting to.
In the end, this has been discussed to death here, with most people aside from Foof and couple of other measured folks (Bombling, etc) just trolling, covering their asses or crying.
There are systemic issues devs need to help with (the freaking barrier pulling mentioned recently is one of the more stupid ones), but in the end it's still mostly gonna be on us - class distribution, organization and playing better together.
Since the cities are right now happening nearly every 12 hours or so, I've seen even larger amount of folks on our side just not giving a **** anymore, going all solo, not following orders even when in /5 organized WBs, going afk and generally just **** around because they can farm royals even through losses and being afk (cause contribution is **** broken) if they can catch the city 2 times a day. It's pretty absurd and pretty demoralizing when you're a 12-man trully trying to get better.

2. CC is a significant tool for several classes. Removing it due to the city isn't going to happen. I have never supported pulling through barriers, but I'm unable to make that change. It has been brought up in the past.

Issue with the barriers is you can both benefit as defender and pull as attacker -
namely, if you are losing champs, your healers might be able to start spamming group heals from safety of barriers without leaving spawn, yay.
But once they all are spamming heals through a barrier which attacker can't pass, they are in effective pull range, in case other side has chop/engi/magus.
Ideally nothing of above would be happening, no healing/buffing/attacking/pulling through barriers.
I guess one way to limit this would be to have a spawn that is clearly seperate from the fighting area, like in Eternal Citadel scenario, or a mix with Brightwizard College scenario where you have to port out to get fast back. And to prevent camping of just 1 single entry teleportation point into the usual lord room area, have 3-4 entry teleport landing places.
Or create some magic that makes barriers disable everything from going through, but that wasn't the case even on live, remember the old "lets heal tank champ through the barrier" tactics even then, and the occasional engi pull as well.

All games have it in the EULA about unintended gameplay being punished.
I agree DVR recordings of players doing this intentionally should just recorded and sent to a GM for action.

when the warcamp is pushed - the enemy has already lost and is doomed

If you cant fix barriers for now, how about putting some Guards to secure respawn ? At least stage1 and stage2, stage3 is big t ask. Just make sure they have proper range .
Or would it be possible to use same Jail barrier from forts ?
