Which is better and what are the trade-offs from CR 16 onwards?

Scs are faster but you could end up out leveling your RR, also SCs only give you your offset gear so you want to do a mix of both rvr and SCs to keep your rr ahead and to get your main role gear.

Do a bit of both imo. It will be more exciting and you'll keep both career and renown levels going. You make RR more in oRVR and more lvls in SCs. Just try to keep you RR a couple levels above your real level or at the very least on par

I usually mix it up but like to be RR50 before R40. That usually means quite a lot of ORvR.
