3D Printing

I was looking at items in the game as inspiration for 3D printed scenery, and it occurred to me that I would be making a wireframe of something which was already a wireframe.
Of course every item/creature/etc in the game is copyrighted but it would be very cool if you could export a 3D wireframe of your character and do a print of it! The plethora of tents, tables, walls and such would make excellent scenery too.
I wonder whether this has been done with other games?

(Please note I am not suggesting/supporting any breach of copyright, just thought it might be an interesting topic to discuss!)
