i feel like your mastery should dictate if you are a tank or not. because the mastery dictates what weapon you will also use since the abilities are weapon specific which seems fine.

Is there a mod that tells me which order players have the inferior guard on them?

No but use buffhead and just look at the corresponding player and see if they have a 2h or SnB.

2h aren’t meant to be tanks because they weren’t meant to block guard damage. This change required the guard reduction. Either you have 2h that have reduced guard or you go back to 2h that can’t risk using guard.

it could make more sense reduce to 75-50% the dmg you can defend instead not the dmg youu remove from your guard.

aka you remove 50% of the dmg as normal but can only parry half of that value, rest you take it in the face still would be insane high as nerf, the answer must came from give enemies counters and s+b good stuff.

The CLASS you pick determines your role in the game
Your SPEC determines how you complete that task within that role.

Never ever should a class deviate from its original concept, wich in this case is to protect your team. Wether you hold a banana or a barn door does NOT matter. Your role does not change.

Where is the detaunt for 2h? The gap closers? The incoming heal debuffs?

2h tanks were meant to be tanks. Changes that were made in the past few months have been indicative of this: You Wot?! allowing 2h BOs to perform their role of offensive tank (an emergency get-out-of-jail card when focused), bringing Anger Drives Me back down and removing Rebounding Hatred (so that a 2h BG could effectively deal with Guard damage while performing his role of offensive/utility tank), etc.

The change was predicated on the misconceptions that 2h tanks were rendering SnB useless (false - just go to RvR to find out), and that they were overperforming in general - hence the abundance of 2h tanks in smallscale - when in reality it is more a case of SnB not offering much anymore (with several changes over the years to various SnB specs), and not having access to a 10-second punt (I can't stress how BIG this is).

i would also mention that the feeling can be influenced by the current queue logic!
Due to the queue logic of seeing 2h tanks as dps you could easily have tanktrains of 5+ tanks in a sc ...

This is not rly a problem in a grped enviroment where you can outheal their dmg and test out who is the squishy tank to focus - but is a lot different in a PuG/Random enviroment.

You could parry guard on live...I'm not sure what that is an issue here since you can still take massive direct damage from ranged classes while having zero avoidance.
