or managing K/D raito is only competition?
By 'competitive' he refers to having some sort of ranking/ladder system.

OP: If you're looking for competitive scene then there really isn't one, unfortunately.

Maybr just take a break? RoR isn't going anywhere, doesn't cost you a thing and primarily exists as a place to experience WAR again as more than just an emulated server. There's no shame in coming back in a couple patches when you're not burnt out on the RvR cycle.

Ninepaces wrote: Tue Dec 18, 2018 4:32 am I'm looking for motivation to log in and play but besides racing for RR ranks forever (which in itself is impossible to win if you have a busy life) it feels like there is nothing to do once you hit a certain point with your characters. Is there something in the works to help end game pvp? Maybe a scenario mmr ladder or something along those lines? Its important to have goals. Quite frankly if all the goals are pve based like acquiring gear from running dungeons than I may as well play one of the many other pve mmo games out there.

Thanks,
BIS gear varies from class to class and not just pve based. Everyone has their own motivation, and it can go up and down depending on various things, like state(health) and direction of server and also competition like you mentioned.

Playing as a community (team) within bigger community is good motivation, if you are loner i can understand having less motivation. For along time when our warband was fully conq, I was leading as rr 80... and killed our enemies enough, 3 hour raids turned into 5 minute raids then yeah thats a contributing factor to play both sides and have less motivation. So team and competition is also factors of motivation... if order can bring enough numbers to make a zone a challenge and worthwhile / brutal... so we don't have to swap and boost them then that is good. Like Peterpan said about lack of competition at 6 man, its similar to large scale in terms of competition. It's mostly zergbusting where the real challenge and death awaits and that can be fun.

Not sure your class, but you seem like avid pvper, maybe join a 6 man if you haven't already, or a large scale guild if you haven't already... order side Invasion if russian, cntk/bitterstones if not russian. Destro side NRM if russian, PNP if not russian :)
Or any of the other guilds around, there are more but im less aware of / their names don't roll off tongue as easy :)

for 6 man's harder to say as their spots are probably already taken / not sure what they recruiting...

pretty sure they will add their own version of fortresses soon (which should be invader gear from rvr) (good old 2 weeks inc )

good luck finding what you are looking for

Just play for the ''moments''. Those times when something epic happens and you get that massive dopamine rush from winning a fight you clearly should have lost. That's PvP.

Then you will park your toon until next update and raise another through the same ordeal you just went through.
