Ownership

I was wondering whom owns what in terms of this server. How much of a hand does EA and Games Workshop play in day to day operations, etc?

This is a fan-made project - we are not affiliated with GW/EA in any way, nor possess any of the source code for the original servers.

Locking this thread as OP has been answered.

Just for clarification, you dont accept any TOS when you buy the game, you do when you install it or make an account on their now non existent server. The server you are playing on now has been built from the ground up by listening to packets logged months before the official game closure. As such the server itself has nothing to do with their stuff really, its just data and how to send and receive packets.

Distributing the client itself (which is not something we directly do either) and/or graphical assets on the website may or may not be an issue if you compare with a similar case that EA recently has against a BF private server

what I am talking about is this:
https://reviveheroes.com/notice/

That said GW ofc have the rights to the IP itself which could also be a potential issue and this is why we are solid on not accepting donation or change the game in a way that would go against the lore to minimize any issue that GW would see in us.
