Hi all. Just recently got back into playing with my brother and a few friends, and as much as we love the early T1 shenanigans, we wanna all level to 4 as a PvP group, which some occasional dungeon/PvE content on the side.
Brother: SW
Friend 1: RP
Friend 2: Offered to tank
Me: 2nd DPS role
Any advice as far as synergies go for Friend 2 and myself? I’m personally leaning a bit towards either WL or maybe a second SW, but was curious about what other people think!

For sw u prob will want sm with winds. About second dps yes lion could be good, armorshred+lionfury spam on winds when sm shreds spirit resists. Sw will provide healdebuff and stuns, lion will be able to freely get outdoing hdebuff and both dps tactics. SM can easily dive back on some WE on wings morale if she pops up on RP and def himbor SW if whould be in ranged spec. Plus they have good catch potentional tnx to ranged stun, fetch and stager from rp.
U can go any 3 ranged if sm is not an option. Destro usually used 3sh 1 sham gank groups without tanks and it was working fine. Tanks in such setups usally to boring to play.

Noximilien - AM, Severi - SM, Ravandin - SW, Celebor - WL, Ernwald - WH, Demandred - BG, Mesana - Sork, Beliar - DoK.

Re: Ideas for a 4-member PvP Roaming Group (Order)
Generally the advice is "play what you feel like playing", but to be honest mdps is usually better in small scale and warband play too. In my personal opinion when I'm playing either a tank or a healer I hate SWs. They are squishy, kites out of guard range and usually doesn't put up much pressure on the other side.
If you're going for two SWs friend 2 is better off going for something else than a tank unless going for like a dps build.
Regarding synergies and party setup it does not really matter, of course some classes have better synergies but they're very minor. In my opinion the best tank on order is KotBS unless going for 2h dps build, then SM is the king mostly cause of the spirit damage.
I'd recommend going SW, RP, WL and KotBS or switching out the KotBS for SM. If I were to put together an optimal four man on order side it would probably be RP, WL, WL and KotBS. You can also switch one WL for slayer and the KotBS for SM.
You could also go for something out of the ordinary. The healing classes can now go for a dps build also and actually deal a lot of damage while assisting your healer also. All three healers on order are good as dps but WP is the only mdps healer.
Just know that the lakes can be a harsh place for a small group for experienced players.

Re: Ideas for a 4-member PvP Roaming Group (Order)
Greatly depends on game environment you will put your focus.
If you plan doing oRvR most of the time then for zerg surfing you would want to pair SW with either engi (very high skill ceiling and hard to master need lots of game knowledge and exp to play well, tons of CC/utility, +15% dmg for focused target) or BW (will work only from 60rr onwards, timestamp in ST build, many tools for zerg surfing, selfcleanse) or dps/hybrid AM (easiest pick, lots of options, can build with puddle). You can also pick melee DPS (WL or WH), but they will be far less efficient before they hit high RR and get gear, so mDPS is longest road to hit, before it gears up you will suffer. Most casual and comfortable kill farm gonna be with SW+BW, SW+engi/dps AM gonna be most elite setup if you focus on ending up your play session with 0 deaths. In terms of kill power considering you know what you are doing those are all on par with different pros&cons.
You dont need a tank much, mostly for diving in&punting and as extra help for kiting/escaping (if you pick AM it can build with puddle, best escape tool you may find), but if you insist you can choose anything, it will synergies anyways, IB best option due to mobility but hardest to play well, kotbs or SM both will do. If tank is not
This will be most efficient setup of 4 for kill steal/leech/farm rr in oRvR. Such comp will be quite suboptimal for doing regular SCs spam.
If you plan doing regular SCs spam then you better get 2 more people actually
but best pick for that as 2nd DPS is WL, any two tanks will do, can make any combination of tanks to work (avoid same class stack), i'd go with SM+kotbs as prio tho. Same goes for healers nowdays, try to avoid stacking same healer class. WL+SW will be suboptimal for kill steal/leech/farm rr in oRvR.
Dont think you would ask any advice if you'd be into building 6men for 6v6 or something, but keep in mind that ol' but gold setup of SM+WL+aSW still works amazingly fine.
Pick your poison.
P.S. most toxic SCs/oRvR setup is IB+engi+BW+DPS AM+RP+WP (book). you will be really hated
