Just hit RR70 on my WE, Nyss, and honestly pretty proud of that — already looking forward to the next set upgrades. But there's one thing that keeps tripping me up: I've caught myself opening on guarded targets more than once, full rotation and everything, before realizing halfway through that it was never going to work out. Not because I misjudged the fight itself, but because my UI just doesn't show me the target's status clearly enough for me to catch it before I commit. I'd really like to fix that properly instead of continuing to muddle through.
I play both a Str/regen hybrid and a straight ST build, using FiskgjuseUi currently. My rough plan, three rows above the enemy's head:
- Row 1 (my own debuffs/DoTs on target, with duration numbers): Envenomed Blade stacks, heal debuff, armor/life debuff.
- Row 1b, slightly separated (binary effects, no countdown needed): Silence and similar — I just need on/off, no timer to read.
- Row 2 (target status, priority order): Guard first, then liniment/buffs.
- Row 3 (bigger icon): Immunities — mainly stun/knockdown immune, since that's the biggest "don't bother" signal for my finisher.
- Deliberately leaving out: potions/elixirs (tracking those by feel) and morale abilities (there are just too many across classes for me to realistically track right now — maybe something to add later once the basics are solid).
- Anyone have a working BuffHead preset/export for WE that covers something like this? Not necessarily asking you to hand me your exact setup — I know what works for you might not fit my playstyle — more curious how you approached the same problem.
- What immunity ability IDs do you actually track?
- Duration numbers overlapping icons — from what I've seen in screenshots, countdown numbers sometimes cover the icon itself, making it hard to tell what it even is at a glance. Any way around that, or do you just get used to it?
- Visually separating DoTs (need duration) from binary effects (just on/off) — spacing, color, grouping, or does it just come with memorizing icons over time?
- Anyone scale certain icons bigger on purpose (like immunities) to make them stand out?
- Is there anything you think is missing from this plan that I absolutely need, or anything in here you'd say is unnecessary/overkill for a WE?
Not really a Discord person for stuff like this since questions tend to get buried in the flow — figured the forum sticks around longer for others with the same question. Appreciate any input, presets, or "here's what I'd do differently" from experienced WE players!
