It has been pointed out in this thread, xrealm has been used to have fights and kill enemies, how is that abuse? In a pvp oriented game we should ALL be glad having opponents to play with, or are we loving pvd door that much in order to get our toons geared the easiest way possible?
I respect your opinion but i disagree, those guys shouldn’t be penalised, completely the opposite, they should be rewarded for making this game more enjoyable.
Just remember nice gameplay before warcrest unification and city siege after 2 won forts - common thing was xrealm push to city with full PvD gameplay and log back to go city siege on side you want to play and gearing at firts place. It was not everyday routine, but generate 2-3 topics on forum every week.

If look at described situation, why those "honorable guys" relog only AFTER siege started? If they relog way BEFORE ram up, when AAO hit 60-80% it can be counted as balancing action. But described scenario is not about good/fair/honorable fight, its about lure to a trap where you can easy steamroll pugs because in other case they can run away or find a better place to fight, not under the enemy gate with prepared oil. Smaller scale, same abuse pattern - "reach desired state by jumping between realms".

Current rl mindset - farm kills and post stats in discord. Side no matter, campaign progress no matter, even rewards no matter. If only kill count matter - any design will work bad, unless it would be build mainly around that.

So, if devs interested in preventing such behaviour - just not count kills to player/guild under debuff. If interested in support - we need some way to bind 2 guilds from opposite sides to have overall score without any splits. And no timeouts/debuffs or other restrictions.

The problem is that the no named guild deliberately kill all the zone orvr by going into hardcore wc farm. Enemy log out, encourage your realm to siege and if they are mostly pugs they switch to farm.

And stop all nonsense about going for the fight. Ppl switch for the kills. So they see they will dominate and they switch, if there is some smell of organized force on thier side they do not change. The move is cheap but i dont blame them, the system allow it, just stop the hypocrisy and we are ok
Mostly harmless

The issue with this mentality is it causes the wait until 100% aao mentality to siege in the first place. Now you have to wait to have enough advantage to still have a chance when you loose a full wb to the other side causing a ~50 player change in numbers. If the lockout allowed changing between zones that issue would not exist and you would see more 20-40% aao real sieges happening. I am all for PVP but that is just killing PVP for 30 min so that enough advantage can be created to allow PVP to continue.
Thats the thing. Ive been inside keep with 100% aao with the intention to defend it, then looked around and there isnt not even a wb there, ppl are mostly around the map trying to kill something and dodge defence.
Which gives me back to the pvd door… you mentioned 50 ppl swapping (maybe i understood wrongly) that makes a difference in those cases. Heck, id be happy if only 12 come to my side and stood with me.
Then again, all of us have a different point of view and how we perceive our surroundings, none will ever be happy.
I have been in the same boat and it sucks but the thing that causes that is usually that a zone has gone on for to long with one side farming the other trying to get a large enough player advantage to overcome the defender advantage of oil + funnel. By allowing the free movement of entire wbs to the defending side which is the easy side to farm on due to said advantages you allow 24 on the attacker side moving to 24 defenders effectively out of nowhere a net 48 player swing can easily cause AAO to go from 100% to 20% or less in non-prime hours. If this was happening outside of siege its fine as that creates fights in the open field. The issue is that attackers need a pop advantage to have a chance in a siege and a 48 player swing can easily remove any chance for the siege to happen. The only way to counter that is to WC camp even harder and make even more players quit so that after the massive swing you still have the pop needed to make a siege have a chance. This leaves you 2 options either continue to WC camp and ruin the game for one side never spawning siege hoping that the xrealm guild will get board and xrealm to have a fair fight in the open or you WC camp until the AAO is so bad that even if they xrealm after siege is pulled it wont make a large enough difference to make the siege impossible. In both cases you make the game miserable for one side. My suggestion is to allow free xrealm for 5 min after a zone take to allow the xrealm guilds to balance the sides at that time. If a zone is truly beyond hope it would get pushed quickly allowing the xrealm to happen sooner and allowing sides to balance out without the need to farm someone to unplayable levels.
