Hi All. I've been out of the game for a quite a few years and could use some clarity regarding what I found on the wiki page.
I left before the ward system was implemented, right before unified currency.
I have a Choppa I'm trying to get across the rr80 finish line. When I started back a little over a week ago, I had just over 100 War Crests and was mid way between rr74 - 75. I'm NOW at 36% rr76 and 1650 war crests so not too bad of a grind so far. Before I left, I think I spent all my Invader emblems on getting 4/6 Invader gear, so now I'm just missing boots and chest.
My question is the wiki states that if I get the remaining Invader items, I will be able to equip Sov. Is that still correct?
I'm simply not a PVE guy so the extra crests to complete Invader set is fine with me since they accumulate pretty quickly.
A side question, is Sov /Triumphant mix still considered BIS for rvr focused Choppa?

Re: Question About Wards
You have to unlock all of the prerequisite ward pieces to wear the next set. So either purchase the last 2 pieces or play PvE for a fast and free way to get them.

Re: Question About Wards
The invader ward is only 5 fragments (as is vanq, conq and i think anni too). The belt and jewel from invader don't count towards the ward, just the main 5 armour pieces, so if you're spending crests on completing the ward, be careful not to waste them.BrownStar wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 7:58 pm Before I left, I think I spent all my Invader emblems on getting 4/6 Invader gear, so now I'm just missing boots and chest.

If in doubt, open up your Tome of Knowledge and go to the armoury section. You can see your wards in there, and check each fragment to see whether you've already completed it, or what gear pieces you could collect to unlock it.

Re: Question About Wards
You should absolutely do PVE to get the equivalent ward if you can. The time investment you save is huge, even if you have to run a certain dungeon 4 times.

I actually meant to ask about PVE wards in my original post. Since I’ve not participated in any dungeons yet, can I jump right into BS or will I need to complete lower level dungeons in order to run BS?Brew wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 2:31 am You should absolutely do PVE to get the equivalent ward if you can. I guess I should at least experience the pve side of the game before making any final decisions, I just hate the thought of being carried through the content.

Dungeons aren't locked behind anything, you can do the dungeons in any order you wish.BrownStar wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 2:13 pmI actually meant to ask about PVE wards in my original post. The gear sets from dungeons each grant wards, just like the PvP sets. The wards are the same.
For example, for the invader ward, you unlock it using Invader, Triumphant, Victorious or Bloodlord gear.
This is the reason why so many players go through the PvE grind - the gear sets unlock the ward you need without you having to spent war crests. The gear also has no renown requirement, so if you're low ranked you can do the PvE grind and get much better gear. My DoK, for example, is only rr43, but im using a mix of HV and Bloodlord gear. This gives me equivalent of Invader, even though im 20 ranks too low for invader gear itself.
