I kinda like the state engi is atm, it does not reach quite the st dmg magus does, but im running high armorpen build while trying to pay attention remembering to get turret up for armorpen and using range/los wisely and there isnt many classes i absolutely cant win.

Magiis are hard, specially in toughness spec but even managed to score win or 2 against them 1v1. Ppl forget how strong tactic thunderer is. High AA dmg while running and dotting really takes toll even on maguses who lack the AA, also you can keep your turret shooting, while their demon usually is out of range (if they chase)

Handcrafted scope synergies well with gunblast making it double tick almost on every cast. Ofc if you facetank then you will die no matter the opponent.

Magus still is insanely powerfull and with same rr/gear my magus has higher wounds (about 800hpbase +aegis) 20%higher base crit +tactic so 45%more crit, higher magic power compared to rangepower (270ish vs 240) including ranked procs. And deals elemental dmg so fights against lesser mitigation overall (i think, not sure).

This does not make engi bad. Magus is just stronger. Engi does have access to dodge debuffs, and 1 more punt.

and what are your thoughts on the new Thunderer tactic, do you feal the need for it to affect only rifle skills? cant it just be +10 Armor Pen and it affecting things like mine or spanner swipe, or AA attacks with the spanner?

You should Uninstall if you lose to any melee class playing the most broken class in the game.

I guess, that people didn't detect the sarcasm in my post. I made this post after the “White Lion Nerf when?” post exploded. I made this post because i found it funny, how someone (dps shaman) dying and ranting about OP wls attracted so much attention on the forum. Anyone with 2 braincells knows that Magus is the strongest solo roamer so i thought that would be clue. I also thought, that the gibberish text would help. I will try harder next time.

The problem is that the devs i believe don't read much what we write, judging from some changes in the past. They may look at the title and conclude: ''Ah look seems like people think the Magus is not strong enough, let's buff it! ''. Even though the general consensus is the opposite and it is actually explained in this thread.

After the recent patch i've tried to explain this in the Patch thread that Magus is the strongest solo roamer in the game and did not need to be buffed in the patch, a buff to the engineer was fine but not Magus. I then got attacked in that thread by a poster you would think should know better ( being a high rr Magus player).

That means clarity is important when wording since there is a problem with balance perception among players or dishonest intentions, better make the wording clear so that devs do not misinterpret anything imho( i might be wrong, they read it all but don't care about our opinions, but still ):

Lack of heal debuff, ranged cc + to be stationary for casting single target attacks on engineer in such dynamic game with lots of movements/positioning like RoR is what killing the joy running rifleman spec for me.

The average RoR player doesn't have a clue about solo meta, most are zerging.

This solo tier list is spot on if you check the ''broken tier''.
