Gear "equalization" in SCs are doomed to fail.

1. As previous posters have mentioned, does not really change the outcome. It is still about skill and composition.
2. What stats should you get? If it is "template stats" what will happen to people who wish to play out of the "meta"? If you enter with a Witch Brew build on a WE and do you really want the same stats as a carnage specced WE? If it is just "bolster", how do you plan on stopping people from stacking absurd amounts of stat X or Y?

We've suggested gear squish (in other words, increase stats on lower tier gear and lower it on higher tier), to make more sets viable in the end game.
Blobbers find it appalling, same with the individuals who believe that PvE gear should not yield wards.

That said, there is no reason to enter scs in full devestator as there is a PvE route for gearing.
Even if you are rank 40/40 with PvE gear you can do stuff, the bad part of the game starts after you've farmed your pre-sov bis.
When you need to farm from RR 51 to 78 and get 2k renown per SC.
I researched for 4 weeks if the weekend event was as difficult as forum posters try to make it out, it is not.
Though I got scarred for life from seeing the atrocious plays a lot of solo players do.

But in the end these changes are up to the devs, not me.

Still not addressing the issue.
Hitting a wall at 40 and being much weaker in all pvp and having to farm a lot to even have a chance is not a pleasant suprise for new players . that's the number 2 reason why new players quit IMO ( the first is casuals don't liking too much pvp).
If you look at YouTube there is a video of a content creator who made a starting guide for ROR in 2025 and a lot of people in the comment expressed interest, myself included, because the game pvp appeal IS HUGE. but given how new player are gimped and just sheeps in a meat grinder until they catch up, this potential is completely wasted
The game should give everyone AT LEAST IN SC an even playing field.
If things stay like this ( no gear equalization, premade vs solo) Scs are going to die eventually, and the game will never grow
Lol what? If you understood my point you'd know it directly addresses the OPs question. The winning side has little to do with gear. It may seem that way if you're new I guess. Play thousands of scs and you'll be able to see what the difference between a winning and losing team is, and it aint how many sov or ruin players your side has.

In "Return of Reckoning," Renown Rank (RR) is the true measure of player progression, with Scenarios offering the best XP for leveling. However, Scenarios are often dominated by veteran players who leverage their gear knowledge, overwhelming newer players. The declining player base in ROR stems from unbalanced Scenarios, where matchmaking relies on Career Level instead of RR, leading to unfair matchups. To address this and improve new player retention, I propose balancing Scenarios by Renown Rank and reducing team sizes to 6v6, ensuring more competitive and enjoyable matches for players of similar skill and experience.
Just an idea.
