Re: {AM} Loss of Balanced Mending
I cant believe people are still using "I played XX on live" in discussions of RoR

Re: {AM} Loss of Balanced Mending
Balanced mending was never that great. Probably cast healing energy on self more than others.
Re: {AM} Loss of Balanced Mending
If you played them on live you will know they were never wanted in group. Easy to kill and had no synergy with RP/Zealot heal bless boosting WP/DoK gheals and cleansing. Really you would have taken 2 wp/dok if not for heal bless proc.
Re: {AM} Loss of Balanced Mending
This is pretty much all you can say about heal AM on live.
Hands-down the most useless healing class. Shaman at least was able to kite like god.
AM healing was only stationary and therefore really low under pressure.
Dying is no option.
Re: {AM} Loss of Balanced Mending
shaman for small scale up to 6v6 was better than zealot. Not by much, by better. Virtually unkillable (run away+wazad behind+cleanse ALL meaningful slows from orders), insta ress, aoe range slow, ap block on enemy.
Only negatives were that it was unable to cleanse bw (still could increase toughness and put shield to cover burst) and kotbs tipple shatter which were very annoying but manageable since the main healbot was the dok.
Aside that AM really was the bottom of all healers. It got some shiny moment only with full tyrant pre proc nerf that made grp heal 1 sec cast times and that it is. Still 1-2 AMs for wb composition were good cos insta ress were useful for live TTK.
P.S. end game gear was one more nail into AMs coffin since the gear got ap proc while AMs only real advance over rest healers was infinity ap, so we ended with buffing rest of the healers with more ap while AM got nothing over them

Mostly harmless

Re: {AM} Loss of Balanced Mending
Never liked those tactic. The healing skill they amplifies makes almoast no difference, amplified or not, when defensive target is under dps presure. The HPS vallue of those skills and taking into account the AP costs makes em really bad. (Slightly better for AM as each tick could trigger WIld Healing). You still use the skill on AM as you have Wild Healing to reduce it's costs but for Sham it's completly pointless to take the tactic as you only really heal yourself with it.
I would say for it's AP cost and low HPS vallue these could probobly heal as a 30 feet Targeted AOE heal, with the tactic and still not be OP in anyway.

Re: {AM} Loss of Balanced Mending
What about simply adding the HoT to all party members cleansed when you have Apoth and Isha's Encouragement slotted? Not worth it even with the HoT? I think it would bring healing numbers up and party survivability up in SCs, but may not be optimal for WB play unless you have tight groups within the organized WBs.

how much is the ST HoT of Isha's Encouragement ?
I haven't tried, not that great at glimpse.
2 tactic slots are big investment.
for price of 50ft grp HoT, idk.
power of AM heal is long cast burst heal.
HoT is more shaman thing.
Balanced Mending was same.
it greatly increased moving heal.
it was great on AM. OP on shaman.

It is actually the opposite.anarchypark wrote: ↑Fri Sep 28, 2018 11:37 am how much is the ST HoT of Isha's Encouragement ?

Using a gcd for cleansing means you don't heal. Adding a hot on cleanse adds more value. Additionally, the hots stack, so you can have 2 of those cleanse hots on target plus your other hots.
The heal value per tick is 3xx.
Concerning group cleanse tactic, the ft range isn't much of a disadvantage. When aoe debuffs are used, then the players are close together to be hit in the first place. Cleansing all 50 ft around target works good in this case.
Opposed to dok/wp grp cleanse, you can still cleanse targets outside of your own group. Additionally dok/wp you can't cleanse themselves and group at once. This was nerfed for both long ago.
This nerf could be lifted, because it holds no ground anymore.
For moving heal, you have lifetaps. Balanced Mending was never worth it's ap cost, especially not with the cost of a valuable tactic slot. I only use it now to get heal charges for lifetaps on the move.
Dying is no option.

Re: {AM} Loss of Balanced Mending
are you sure ?
tactic tooltip says 'all groupmates within 50 feet of them'
since skill effect only apply on initial target, it's hard to tell who's got cleansed or not.
not sure cleansing outside of grp cleans your own grp in 50ft.
Isha's Encouragement is unreliable HoT.
target must be on debuff.
you can't put HoT on your desire.
50ft grp HoT might have some use but worth tactic slot? idk...
