Hey, about to hit 40 on my kotbs. From what I've read in posts here (many outdated posts), 2h kotbs is completeley useless. Is that still true? Wanna know if I should bother pushing it to 40 as I have no interest in being a snb aura bot.
Its hard to find up to date information about this game sadly. Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply. Is it possible to tank in PvE as 2h from the get go? Feels like parry is kinda low on 2h kotbs

Yes, use the midtree “Coordination” tactic that is low on the tree for 100% up time +20% parry. Not sure there is better parry buff in the game for that cheap. Otherwise, parry comes from “reflexes” skill with the renown trainer and gear bonuses.
However, question might be why not swap to shield spec so you block as well. I have tanked as 2h but block really does prevent a large portion of boss dmg when layered with parry.

Re: [KOTBS] Any viable 2h builds?
Its been a while since I played but 2h kotbs is as far as I remember pretty much the only wounds debuff order has?
In small scale 2h tanks are meta at least back when I played. You will almost never be the first to die in a proper group so you go 2h and get enough def to survive reasonably well + be able to not get melted by guard and pump the rest into damage. Many 6v6 have been decided by which side had that extra presure from tanks. The only reason to go snb in these scenarios is if a certain skill/utility requires a shield to use, but as far as I remember that case never really exists outside of hold the line which is crucial for wb play but pretty inconsequential in smaller fights.
The only issue with 2h tank builds, especially ones that deal primarily phys is your stat spread is hard to achieve without good gear, you can however still play 2h even early on but you will be spending most of your resources into defense early. Remeber that parry is going to be how you deal with guard damage mostly without a shield and is going to be your #1 stat starting out.
