to not completely rework the 5pts ability (AP gain) mybe this version would be better for choppa :

Image
Sorry but that is an abysmal ability, even worse than what already exists

Self damage for ap? On one of the squished classes in the game, on top of the other self damage ability they have? Who would ever use that?

You can just pop an ap pot or have your healers supply you with ap in a group
they're squishy full red, not furious. and this is only an idea. Actually 5pts gives you AP, i was searching for something similar but more efficient
i dont think ap is realy usefull in most stituations, cause of healers ap tactics. But if ap boost, what would you think about the skill expanding the ap pool for a certain amount?
or a debuff(mostlikley st, or mirrow on slayer if aoe and move rampage in aoe path 15p) if enemy parrys/block he loses ap? would be pretty near to what ysaran purposed. sadly i cant say anything about how effectiv this one would be with mara ap drain and if it should stack.

i have many other ideas anyway :

Makin' Me Mad : For the next 10 seconds you cause 5% more damage while below 75% hit points, 10% more damage while below half hit points, or 20% more damage when below 25% hit points. If you are Furious the duration is increased to 20 seconds.

Tree 1 at 7 pts : Choppa got a tactic to increase his crit damage anytime their abilities are defended. where Slayer for a crit damage boost according to their HP.

Here choppa would have damage increase similar to slayer 7pts tactic where slayer got rampage similar to choppa 7pts tactic (a defended attack buff)

Useless if your healers are actually worth a damn ie keeping you up at 100% as they should be. Would only encourage derp suicidal pug play even more.

IMO such tactics/abilities (like the Slayer tactic variant, which is absolutely useless in any environment outside of backpedaling Barracudax Riposte 50th Video Compilation) should be removed entirely.

maybe a variant then :
Makin' Me Mad : Each time you're attacked, you deals 5% more damage for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. If Furious, the duration is increased to 20 seconds and can be stacked 10 times.

Marking rampage ST would bring it more inline with a 5 pt skill
Marking rampage ST would bring it more inline with a 5 pt skill of a ST mastery tree
it's not a ST tree this is the buff/debuff tree.
Not a problem , it is still a buff , just add the words “for targeted enemy” and all is in sync or even better have it like focused offensive so it’s a downside on non focused target as well

then you'd reduce enemie's chance to parry and block by 100% and not buff your parry/block strikethrough and i would only benefits solo players.

I would say situational like focused offensive when killing a healer

I hope that would be available for both classes. The meta from that would be insane.

The only way to balance that a little would be that a stack is removed anytime you (slayer/choppa) deals any kind of damage.

Rain of fire and other nasty AOE that goes on nonestop during largescale battles will make it 100% uptime. Also when you make stack limitations, what happens if from 10stack furious player went to Berserk? Stacks drop to 5? Never seen such mechanic in game.
