Check for Glorian's guides(Lesti ingame), such as this one.

I have some build ideas for engies here as well... you might find something interesting.

On live, this was my level 40 build, and the only that actually worked for me. You can change the points from getting snipe to the grenadier path, specially for solo questing and for leveling, cause Snipe is there mostly for t4 fights. I would ignore both the tactics and skill of such tree cause they were never as good as they sound, and by the time you could reach the only decent, Napalm Grenade, you could get a way more powerful skill in the tinkener path with electromagnet.

EDIT: and get the Burgman Best for solo questing or solo ambushing. Seriously, best skill ever for leveling

Fixxer and Ototo both use Lightning Rod which I highly not recomend.

Lightning Rod DOESN'T get a range or target cap increase from the Flame turret.
Blunderbuss, Electrical Discharge, Friction Burn does.
Especially Blunderbuss with AP Rounds hits targets with Flame Turret on 65ft and can hit up to 24 Targets. Far better than the Rod.

Yup, but at least in live the shocks interrupted casting and channelling skills, making a nearly useless damage skill a very OP CC to handle big groups. They could interrupt even a HtL, but the tank could not be immune to CCs, which in RvR is something very strange when the panic button aka Hold the Line is used.

On paper was a crappy skill, but on actual use was very OP, and cause very few people used it cause it seems useless, was never actually balanced.

Not every pull engi goes for defense and it can be cast while targets are mid-flight.
