There is no point to replace PS with Strafing Run, it will deprive Engi of very important utility ability when using RvR WB specs.
You will not have opportunity to take Strafing Run with Magnet spec or Napalm spec which is mandatory for organised wb 24vs24+ at that moment to be honest. It will affect reasonability to fill a slot with engi aswell. Nobody will be need a 1 trick pony in your warband.
Thanks for attention :D

We need that armor debuff working on PS to make it worthwhile. Why was it abandoned?

Another dot to bury signal flare provided you're running the increased damage tactic. Otherwise, nothing too exciting.

Historically however, phosphorous shells were artillery that popped above your target and the downward burst of ignited phosphorus blinded anyone looking towards it, as well as starting damn near everything on fire. That would be more suitable for the Grenadier tree, and would swap with Strafing Run.

Something something client control.
Willy Pete is banned under international law, bad puppy!

Howevet nobody can be held responsible for "harmless" smoke shells being used to mark enemy targets......
Lol when I was in Afghanistan we would stagger our 120, 81, and 60 mm mortar rounds HE( high explosive) then WP(White phosphorus) air burst of course. Of course as you said there just smoke rounds.
@wargrimnir. I don't know about it blinding people. Unless one of the chunks hits you in the eye.

We were told it was used because it burns with out Oxygen. So the pieces burn into flesh. At least that's what the mines do, scary ****. We actually preferred them to HE.

Sorry for going so far off subject
