What is the purpose of this morale, Dance of Doom (M1)? Why would I ever want to deal 1200 damage over 3 seconds channel (Dance of Doom) rather than 1200 damage instantly (Sever Nerve)?
Usually the morale abilities of classes offer different utilities or are interesting somehow, but the WE class M1 just seems inferior and nothing else.
Am I missing something?
I'd rather have a "copy" of the WH M1 than the WE M1 to be honest, at least it offers a different utility.

I think it used to do more damage at one point in time. Yea it's prime garbage at the moment.

The WH Exoneration M1? Just as useless really, Confusing Movement’s 7s of parry/dodge will save you more than a weak self heal. This is a stretch but could possibly be used with a morale bomb to avoid the 50% nerf for a few seconds. But that’s a mighty big stretch.

I was going to create a post about this.
To add insult to injury, you also have to stay stationary. Useless ability.

There was a point in time that we looked into overhauling Morales, but the feedback was mostly negative, and the will to make those changes disappeared.

I don't think you need to overhaul the morale system, that's a broadsword approach when you need a scalpel. The reality is there are just some totally shitty morales and they would need to be evaluated on a case by case basis.wargrimnir wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 6:05 pm There was a point in time that we looked into overhauling Morales, but the feedback was mostly negative, and the will to make those changes disappeared.
For instance, with dance from death, you could literally increase the damage of each hit to 450 and that would probably make it not pure garbage, as at least it would deal 150 more damage then Sever Nerve. Or you could add literally any secondary effects in the game (buff/debuff) and it would at least have a purpose. The changes to "utterly worthless" morales don't need to be massive or impactful, but so that they are at least situationally useful.
So I think my point is, you don't need to overhaul morales, and you don't even need to make bad morales good (which is where I'm assuming the negative feedback comes from), just less bad. Plus, there's not that many "totally worthless" ones, so that's nice too, its really just a couple underperformers here and there. I also wouldn't even bother touching any of the "shared archetype moales" (as that would be a morale system overhaul), and just look at the class unique ones that are useless and/or worse then the baseline Morales.

Re: [WE] Dance of Doom Morale 1
People were upset because they could no longer morale bomb.
Making individual, instead of sweeping, changes wont be met with the same criticism.
It’s a shame that most morales go unused because archetype morales are better. Even the m4 morales in mastery paths are garbage.
Considering how slow morale gains are here, why would anyone want to invest 13 points for a morale that can only be used once in a blue moon. 3+ minutes to build for a single target hot, dot or debuff? Or one that does 200 more damage than an m2 but takes three times as long?

Point there. On dok I specced into m4 Vision of Torment to try it, 2.4 k (including points invested into tree) single target dmg over 7 sec= 510 dmg per GCD+ability which you used in that GCD, Universal Confusion free m3 which is much faster to get to, and staggers all hit for 6 sec including the healers which would heal your target =1200 dmg per GCD, with larger range and aoe.catholicism198 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 7:10 pm People were upset because they could no longer morale bomb.

The biggest problem is that melee range single target= with 3 min of fight to get to, it is pretty much never can be used. In mass fights melee range+single target+dps which gets outhealed by general team heals =never going to happen, in roaming 3 min to build it mean that the entire time which I have it I got to used it once, while chasing a rp- then by the time I got to it some more order appeared so I dropped it into a random wl.
