40/40 Marauder -- Gear & Spec Build

Hi all -- Just got 40/40 on my Marauder.

What is the best RvR spec? Alongside what gear should I be aiming for that I can wear immediately including accessories & weapons?

Normally i would say better delete and play something else but the question is what you want to play ?

You can either play a boring 2 button Morale/Ap drainer beyblade with monstrosity or a Savagery wannabe melee dps that has crap ultility, bad survibility, a snare as only usefull cc and no burst.

The "Growing Instability" tactic in the brutality tree is very important or you damage is even more crap.

"Exhaustives strikes" for ap drain crushing blow for moral drain and either "Concussive Jolt" for AOE knockdown ( this skill is seriously crap) or the tactic "Insane Whispers" that is really strong.

Why play something else? I like the aesthetic of the Marauder and I like how they have that Morale/AP Drainer. But why so much hate towards Marauders?

Well he is weaker as every other mdps in everything he can do, the only really usable tree he has is monstrosity but this is a totally boring pure defense tree that is spamming only 2 buttons.

uff at 40/40 i would suggest you search for the "Beastlord" set in the forum there is a guide, its a very great set for Mara in the beginning, you will use 2 parts even with RR 80 atm, aside from that you have to do the math a little bit by yourself, there is a list of all sets in the forum to a google doc with all setbonis/stats/etc. and try to reach the best what you can do at RR 40, Monstrosity wants as much as toughness and wounds as you can, you want reduced chance to be critically hit, parry-disrupt.

And as "Dps" in Savagery you want as much critchance as you can, need parry-disrupt so i would say atleast try to reach 20% at both also parry-disrupt for the beginning because you don't have much renown points at RR40, also you need strengh and wounds that is something aside from the critchance you just have to try different versions and see how it feels for you.

To the gear overall, there are the gear vendors in IC you should take a look and the google doc is very important, because there are "Public Quest" sets that can be really good for you at your RR.
