[Marauder] Flail and Piercing Bite

So, the source data:

From the description - that the second hit of the skill "Flail" requires a mutation. This means that the second strike falls under the conditions of the "Piercing Bite" tactics. But no matter how much I tested, second hit "Flail" didn’t penetrate 50% armor. Is this a bug or what?

PS: eng bad. Found no replay in search.

Afaik only abilities that specify in the tooltip - Gift of <insert> required - are eligible for Piercing Bite to work.

Well technically the skill itself doesn't require a mutation.

The additional effect does require a mutation.

So piercing bite doesn't affect flail in any way based on it's description.

But if we consider the skill altogether, it requires a mutation for the second hit. Without mutation, there will be no second hit at all. In the description of tactics - there is nothing about "specify in the tooltip", it clearly states about the "require a mutation". If I'm wrong, then need to correct the description.

It clearly states:

"Abilities which require a mutation"

Flail is the questioned ability.
Flail doesn't require a mutation.

Flail doesn't meet the requirement for piercing bite so no effect by this tactic.

The 2nd hit is more like a proc with the condition of being mutated.
Like Wiede correctly said, the tactic isn't supposed to work with that skill and the tool tip describes it well enough.
Dying is no option.
