I still main my slayer as I've always had since 2018. My favorite class in the game and choppa is my 2nd favorite. And this as I solo still. Don't care what others say including my opinion. If you like it, play it and play it what is most fun for you.
First RR90 Slayer working towards the top of the mountain.I still solo, still run riposte.

Re: [Choppa] Is Choppa Really that difficult?
My Choppa is the last class on destruction that I have yet to level to 40/50. Last Tuesday I tried to level from RR 41 to 42. Unfortunately there was an order premade stomping scenarios. Wbs were full, and any time I tried to solo roam Rydzyk or whatever his name is exploded me.
The class is very difficult outside of an organized three man at the least.
The experience gained from scenarios needs to be halved or something similar. One of the many issues revolving around scens these days.

All melee is difficult without Support, especially now in a high damage meta, and especially on the "squishiest" melee.
That said, you can definitely do it solo. I used to solo on Choppa a bit, it has some decent tools for it.

Re: [Choppa] Is Choppa Really that difficult?
I did alot of testing today with Melee dps classes and I honestly noticed the same thing. I felt squishy on almost every melee dps class I played. Even basic dots would shred through my HP. Detaunt was constantly being spammed and using Line of sight as much as possible just to give healers time to heal me up through dots.

The most frustrating class in the game along with the Slayer. The devs have simply butchered these classes, which used to be genuinely enjoyable. Today, they’re nothing but frustration and a poor gameplay experience.

i agree that the Slayer/Choppa is a horrible experience.
Depending on having 5 other people babysitting you ISNT fun.
i mean i get it right - the idea is that they deliver such powerful damage that they need support in order to work - ok i get it, good idea.
But i really think that at least ONE of the mastery paths [ probably Trollslayer / Savage ] should have tools in it which allow the class to be able to function by itself at the cost of damage output.
Say a random example - you get a tactic where your rage bar no longer fills up at all but you get 10% more toughness or parry or....something.
Less damage but higher survival.
You get the idea.

This statement is true for literally every single mDPS. As much as I love solo, the game is intended to be played with a team, so that means at the bare minimum you have a healer and a guard.

This is also why everyone plays RDPS instead.
