Well if you want to play like in the video, that is not a dps shammy, that is a heal specced shammy, complete with defensive talis/tactic setup just wearing the odd bit of gear that gives intelligence. He will put zero pressure on anything that gets even the slightest attention from a healer, such as a hot. He relies entirely on people pointlessly fighting him so he can wear them down extremely slowly. People running around with Gork Sez Stop on is basically his only form of meaningful damage. His build is completely useless outside rvr roaming, even then, he only kills unsupported players that have no self sustain and don't bother just leaving him alone.
As a fresh 40, you need to get some wounds and anti crit. Do beastlord for the 3pc (high wounds on cloak, the 3pc is alright as a bonus but wont add much). Make sure you use pots, Both an armour one and if you can afford them, Liniment of War: Genius. If you can't afford Genius, get the cheapest one you can find that gives you +60 wounds (I think the range one is cheap). Not much point getting intel pots as they don't stack with Get'n Smarter, the 600 health from linis will help. Outside this, get into 3pc dominator as fast as possible for the wounds set bonus, then start working on the next (3 pc oppressor).
Your main means of survival is just not taking damage at all, use your puddle properly, cleanse stuff that needs to be cleansed. Kite. Detaunt when needed and use your bubble at the right time. Make sure you have all your consumable pots too (2 heal pots, 1 absorb pot and 2 ap pots)

Thing is I like the DPS SPEC but I hate getting 2-3 shotted by WH/WL, I have no clue how to deal with them, that's why I tried a different build.
Do you have any tips for surviving as a DPS?
and sorry if I bother you with all my questions here,
P.S you're very helpful btw .

WH shouldn't kill you, unless they attack you while potions and defensive skills are on cooldown. Over 7k wounds and low chance to be crit are needed.thedonkeykong332 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 8:02 pmJabba wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 2:53 pm Well if you want to play like in the video, that is not a dps shammy, that is a heal specced shammy, complete with defensive talis/tactic setup just wearing the odd bit of gear that gives intelligence. A well played WL will be your hardest enemy. When they hit you without detaunt, you die during CC.
Dps AM can kill you too but only, when you try to fight them. Just run away from them.
Dying is no option.

Re: Shaman Builds/Gear
What you guys think about BiS gear (mix Sov/Warlord/invader or full set maybe) for shammee?
Re: Shaman Builds/Gear
I have been thinking testing out 5 sov / 3 warlord (Helm/gloves/jewelry).zzzRevanzzz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 3:45 am What you guys think about BiS gear (mix Sov/Warlord/invader or full set maybe) for shammee?
This gives.
+ 123 wounds
+ 2 % crit
+ 4 % crit reduction
What you lose is basically 22 Ini and the bonuses. 8 piece bonus seem mostly useless. The ap-proc is ofcourse nice but if it is not procing of hots it is kind of meh. For duo/trio I probably go with a 5sov/3wl mix.

Re: Shaman Builds/Gear
Generally nice guidelines to aim for:
8k+ wounds, get plenty of wounds from set bonuses/items, there's no gear that's worth going full set on if you're past vanquisher, so you should have 2 wounds bonuses from gear.
275-300 initiative, somewhere along those lines and in most cases you get to that from gear so don't need to invest in talis, past this the scaling is pretty terrible and this gives you a nice buffer from initiative debuffs.
As much anti crit as you can get.
If you reach these I wouldn't bother investing talis into them for more.
As for armour Vs toughness talis; Personally I prefer toughness as it helps mitigate stuff you can't avoid getting hit by in the first place, plus you can stack it nicely on shammy owing to the hot.
Most of the stuff that would be mitigated by armour comes from Melee classes, and you shouldn't be getting hit by those much anyway (slayer/wh/asw all easily kiteable) and WL is only an issue when they have their cooldowns available, without those they're easy to kite too and you have other tools to help against them when they have cooldowns up (unless they run loner spec with spammable pounce, but if they run that you don't have to worry about them too much anyway. Toughness would also help against all of this anyway, even if it isn't to the same degree as armour.
