Download VinyUI and extract Tether (and GES if you are a tank) from the Interface file. Put it in your current Interface file.

Maybe if you have some more questions you should read the latest "patch" notes of VinyUI

Updated to 4.8.3

- Pure will now completely ignore keep and fort lords when updating effects on hostile target.
- Buffhead will now completely ignore keep and fort lords when updating effects on hostile target.
- Small tweaks to Buffhead presets.
- Pet icon in Enemy is now slightly larger and shows health more clearly. (dps presets only)

- Tether will now anchor to target consistently across all maps.
- Tether vertical offset is now based on pixels. Default vertical offset has been set to 70 pixels to cover the group icon.
- Tether will now check if group range data is available before drawing the line.
- Tether will now draw the line more efficiently.
- Tether will now clear target if no guard effect is found on self. This check is performed at the end of every loading screen.
- GeS will now load it's own TargetInfoFix.lua file.

Link to latest Tether starter pack for convenience: Tether starter pacakge 2019-08-25.zip

A full clean install is necessary when updating old Tether installs.

I got tether working on my ktbs, but doing same instalation steps for BO - fail. All addons are on but tether doesnt show lines between guardee and guard. Thoughts?

Maybe you forgot to copy GES settings to your BO folder. Make sure both Tether and GES loaded without errors and make sure you use settings for GES from the starter pack.

does the profile I use on BO matter? cause I use it as shared between all chars, same for said ktbs and BO.

Edit. Ok i messed up profiles. Actually those instructions are not for played char per see, but profile used by that played char.
All working now.

Keep in mind that Buffhead presets in the pack vary strongly between factions. I recommend at the very least having two separate profiles for each faction, though to be honest I don't see how it would affect GES in particular. Try making a new profile for BO and make sure you use the settings from the starter pack on the new profile.

new Pure doesn't work for me at all, had to go back to old one, idk why
its loading without error but frames are not visible, although i can see windows in layout editor

Quick question. There is this strange gap in the friendly target unitframe. I looked into pure but couldn't really find anything to change it. Its only in the Tank Preset and only in the latest build.

That look like a graphic scaling issue, just resize it a bit and it should be fine
