Automatic screen shots

Howdy,

The recent patch notes convo sparked something in my brain. anyone know a way to tie automatic screenshoting to a particular ability failure or occurance? There’s a chat line when an ability fails with the ability name, so it technically could be possible... this’d be a great tool for tracking bugs and particular locations. I know a few SHs have said their self punt won’t work on some terrain, and if they have an issue I feel certain SWs would as well.

Could cause lag on spamming, but maybe a 5s delay would work...

I know screenshooting is a one button press, but in the heat of battle, it’s rough to remember that sometimes.

Same could be used for random fall damage, and a plethora of other “issues”.

Hard to fix a location if you can’t pinpoint where it is.

As a Magus... with my flamer summoned sometimes it wont let me cast changing abilities on the move (rend winds, pandemonium). Even when im close to the pet.... if i resummon it on the same spot it then lets me go back to casting it normally.

It might be possible to write an addon for ability failures that show up in chat, but not for that issue specifically. Selfpunts don't fail to cast, they cast without effect, and as such don't throw any errors.

Man I have the same problem with my Chosen. Sometimes I can't activate a third aura, no matter wich one you click.
It's a bug or something

I didn’t know that. I thought the in-air cast just failed. Thanks for the clarification. For my info, does attempting midair put the ability on CD/use AP and just do nothing?

Both WP and sticky squigz are without AP costs, but they do go on cooldown without even applying the snare effect on a failed cast.

WE/WH have similar issues. Easy to fail punts. At least the stagger is applied but it sucks nevertheless.
