Re: Dark Elf Names
Yeah, still worth mentioning though...
The names in the novels are all over the place though. Urial?
Right now I have Malrun. Bad Intention/Secret/Purpose?

Re: Dark Elf Names
Lets see if we can define the name then.
Ur-, a German prefix meaning "original or primitive" in linguistics.
And all I could find about ial/i/al was squat pertaining to names, mostly mentioned as an adjective in languages.
He was a pretty religious one though might be another link to his priesthood to khaine, being a primordial destroyer and all?
Let's just say the jury is still out on this one
In D&D there's also Ur-Priests, beings that somehow manage to steal the god sent powers meant for others, might be a link to him being a "false" chosen of khaine.

I like Malrun sounds like a fitting name to a dark elf

Re: Dark Elf Names
I'm very picky... a name has to sounds and look pleasing...Malrun isn't working out- the L next to the R doesn't look right.

Creating Druchii names appears to be the hardest out of all, at least for me, as names do not appear to be influenced by anything.

Malekith the Witch King of Naggaroth.
Morathi the Hag Sorceress of Ghrond.

Malus Darkblade.

Kouran Darkhand, Captain of the Black Guard.
Tullaris Dreadbringer. Captain of Har Ganeth Executioners.
