Reshade - Graphics / Post-Processing Suite

Anyone here use reshade? I just started using it yesterday after fallout 4 peaked my interest in it. Tried using it on WAR and most things worked. I assume things like AO and DoF won't work on this game since there is no, or no access to the depth buffer?

If you don't know what reshade is it's like a more feature rich version of SweetFX, with a lot more people working on it (sweetfx is part of reshade). You can get it here: http://reshade.me/

Anyone have any presets or tips to share?

reduce the sharpness filter from reshade, that should do the trick

Well I know that would work but I like what it is doing to certain areas, take the moons for example, or pretty much any ground texture and even buildings.

Is there a way to keep that sharpness in those areas but also soften smaller details that tend to get aliased too much at the same time?

Tweaked it a bit and I think it is looking better anyways, totally did away with one method of sharpening and tweaked the other. It looks like it has a better look for smaller details now anyways.

Found out about the DoF/AO

Apparently this guy has something that can work to give us access to the depth buffer? Sildur asked him to add warhammer to the program about a month ago, hope he isn't AWOL.

You probably have to disable "lightmaps" to get rid of the white models, like it is needed with sweetFX.

There is another way to achieve a similiar result without the need to disable lightmaps and without a too sharp look: downsampling.
I use this for several month now and the only downside i noticed is that screenshots are stored in 2880x1620 resolution + you have to rearrange your UI once after applying it.

Edit: i would also suggest to try out different brightness/contrast/alpha values (i did it in the GPU driver settings); they can additionately create a very atmospheric look without any shader overlay software required.

Ya I am still using 7850 so no 4k downsampling for me :^(.

AMD has a built in downsampling tool in the crimson suite, it's called virtual super resolution. If you enable it you should be able to go into your display settings in windows and change the value of your resolution to a higher value than your monitor (if you have a GPU that supports those resolutions).

Downsampling is also super resource heavy, the advantage of reshade/SweetFX is they run at virtually no FPS loss (in most cases), or in some cases you gain FPS from using the SMAA over whatever you might of been using in game?

As far as color/contrast adjustments go there are a lot more cool things in reshade/SweetFX than you will get via your GPU/Monitor. But I try to keep mine as close to vanilla as possible. I find you can adjust everything to look really good in one zone then move to the next and it looks awful.

I have a pretty old GPU too (gtx 470), i play with downsampling in RoR and additionally some basic AA.
Imo the problem with all those overlay shaders is that they also change the look of your whole UI. For me the UI must be easily readable so that no information is lost and while these overlays tend to create some nice screenshots, i find them on the other side not very valuable for PvP.
Turning off lighmaps makes it also less desirable imo.

I made some screenshots from just the standard game with downsampling+basic AA and colors/brightness etc. adjusted:

I don't play with the "post processing" option switched on, because it's very bad implemented in this game.

Someone else contacted me with modified reshade files that should disable the online check. It worked on WoW but wouldn't on Warhammer. I might still replace my old preset with a new one made with reshade, but having access to the depth buffer would help alot.
