game window closes

Hello everybody!

Faced a problem in the game.

When you go to some locations, the game closes in just 3-5 seconds. When you reconnect and enter the world, you run a little and again the game closes after 3-5 seconds. All this will last until you leave the location.

This does not appear everywhere, but in certain locations.
When the window with the game is closed, no error is issued.

I downloaded the game from the site, did not make any additional settings:

Perhaps someone has met such a problem, how to fix it?

here are some things you can check to make your game more stable.

First of all, the install guide.

How to Install:
- Move the RoR Folder to c:\ (or atleast it's NOT in c:\program or a folder which it wont have write access. For instance move it to c:\Games\Return of Reckoning)
- delete the RoRLauncher.exe
- download a new one here: http://launcher.returnofreckoning.com/RoRLauncher.exe
- put the new RoRLauncher.exe back into the RoR-folder
- Remove the write-protection from all the files in the WAR folder. (right click the game folder -> properties -> disable the read-only box)
- Check if your whole RoR Folder is whitelisted in your Antivirus program and check if your Firewall or Maleware doesn't interfere with the install.
- You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges. (Right click the RoR updater > properties > run administrator)
- Run the RoRLauncher.exe
- Let it update (sometimes it needs a few seconds until it starts)
- Exit launcher and rerun it again
- Repeat the last 2-steps until there is no update
- Launch the game
- [If you don't have DirectX 9.0c, installed it is required, and now this is also included in the torrent. In the ReturnOfReckoning-March2020 folder find the dx90c folder, open that and run DXSETUP.exe]

Secondly, here is the Viny FPS guide, check his setups to make your game more stable: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=19867#p218143

Thirdly, there were some FPS changes a few weeks ago.

- As a note, there is a performance hit in borderless windowed (no frame, no fullscreen) regardless of OS. Fullscreen does not have this performance hit, but may result in crashes during gameplay if you alt-tab out of fullscreen mode and continue playing without restarting. Essentially, after changing resolution, restart your game completely.

Maybe try to run your game in window mode (like in the viny fps guide)....you can check Secrets post about the FPS changes here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=41495

Unfortunately none of this helped.
As a result, I completely removed the game client and downloaded it from the torrent and went through the installation instructions.
Fulfilled all the recommendations of the above topics. Everything is working fine now.
