Agreed, it's a shame but without the Zealot/RP players starting some discussions there's not much you can ask for.

No easy way to tweak it either. All three masteries have both healing and dps abilities. It's a mess. Massive changes would have to take place before you can even figure out where to start making dps zealot/RP relevant.

And someone will complain anyway. :lol:
The ongoing changes are mostly maintenance related to get the ability system back to relying on the client primarily, instead of the client/database split that we were leaning on since ancient times when we didn't have the client decoded. As we're going through it, some changes on the client side are being kept and some changes on the database side are being kept. It's all dependent on whether we can find that these changes were documented somewhere, or if the client should be authoritative for other reasons. Once we're in one system, it makes things a lot easier to adjust in the future. Less mistakes possible, no having to make changes in two systems for both sides to understand each other properly.

^ This. People here still widely unaware that RoR team is working over a mostly undocumented piece of "archeotechnology", where pretty much everything is encrypted or barely understandable.

They need to figure out what is doing what and where, before being able to confidently change or patch anything, and after that, carefully documenting the change to know what it's supposed to do.

Take RoR as a vast museum warehouse, where everything have to be archived and analysed first before being exposed to the public, and yes after all those years I guess many things are still unavailable.
That's why you still have missing parts (LotD, Lost Vale, etc) yet ; they have to be extracted, cleaned, and understood in order to set them properly, and working, for the general usage.

What people often see as "nerfs", "buffs", or "bugs" are often overlooked parts, or unintended side-effects after patches, like dungeon mechanics becoming buggy after a general change, wich should logically not affect those parts.
Original code, at least the client part (the main component of the game), was made a certain way wich is not always logical or compatible with today's workflows and modern coding means, wich means you always can expect unintended side-effects on every patch.

No need to start a ruckus about that, let the team do their work and be happy to play on a such stable game... ;)

About the patch, I'm still eagerly waiting for ranked hotfix to complete my weekly goals :)

About zealot/runi channeled abilities (Rune of Burning / Storm of Ravens), it could be good to make them on par with similar abilities on AM/Sham (at least damage-wise, the Z/RP versions base damage is about half for no reason, tick about 450 when Bunch o Waagh ticking for 900 base), not to mention it has to be bought in tree (not core) and have no tactic to boost it, making it very subpar, in an already very niche tree, without access to elem debuff (Order side).

The Zealot (and I assume RP) skill is bugged and is on the bug tracker.

AM/Sham dps channel had been buffed when used with mechanic. current version is not original value, afaik.
RP/Zeal dps channel is standard value IMO.
