Weekend Warfront: Battle at the Cairn

The land of Ulthuan seems to have been built on tragedy. Some tragedies come from without, and are guided by neither malice nor whim. Others are manufactured and forced upon their victims like deadly poisons. The tale of the Brothers Blackcairn, Elthryril and Lothelryel, is one such tragedy. Lothelryel made a pact with Morathi to betray his brother, Elthryril. Using Morathi's magics, Lothelryel sought to take control of his line and follow Malekith. Yet it was Lothelryel who was deceived. The magic that would have imprisoned his brother entrapped both of them, even as their blades guaranteed their mutual destruction.

In places the rage and hatred of familial betrayal have seeped into the land, turning the sites of ancient struggles into magical wellsprings of dark power. Now a new battle erupts as Order and Destruction forces vie for control of the Blackcairn Estate.


This weekend the Battle at the Cairn will be the weekend warfront from 12:00 on Friday to 12:00 on Monday Altdorf time. You get +50% XP and Renown in the Blood of the Black Cairn scenario, and extra rewards from completing the event tasks.

Scenarios/City Siege

- When a player disconnects and reconnects, their score on the scenario scoreboard is no longer reset.


Ranked Scenarios

- Fixed an issue that caused same realm ranked group matches to not fire.

General Changes and Fixes

We have synced several ability attributes on the server with the ability data files extracted from the clients. This has corrected many smaller ability errors on RoR so they match the live servers unless intentionally changed.

Most of the changes were to NPC abilities or item abilities.

Action point and healing potions no longer ignore global cooldowns.

For player abilities many of the instant cast melee abilities are now marked as castable on the move. This has no effect in normal cases, but has an impact if you are affected by a debuff that increases cast times. The instant cast abilities where this attribute changed are too many to list, but the channeled abilities or abilities with a cast time that changed in this way are listed below.

- The Door in the right wing of Bastion Stair which hides Chorek the Unstoppable and his Juggernaut, is once again openable

Does it mean Insane Whispers + Mouth of Tzeentch also increase cast time?

I'm not sure if this change will impact Corrupting Horror, Whispers + Mouth of Tzeentch, or Big Swing because they increase cast time by a percentage.

Blinding Aura (M2 AM), for sure, will be impacted because it increase cast time by a flat value of 1sc.

It increases by a percentage. So for all those instant cast abilities with 0s cast time it is still just 0s.


To be clear this affects instant cast abilities if you are have any of the following debuffs:

- Blinding Light - Archmage
- Slimehound Slobber - Bilerot Burrows
- Sluggish Warpblade - Warpblade Tunnels
- Writhing Pleasure - Lost Vale (Lost Vale is not implemented yet, but when it is)

Ok, is there any destro ability/morale with same effect as Blinding Aura :) ?
